Wally Schanno assists Cork with the case because he's at odds now that his wife died and he's retired. Did he seem like he was finding purpose in being back in the game? Was it a mistake for Cork to involve him?

I thought he was finding purpose and Cork did not make a mistake. The problem was that things went wrong, but they were unforeseeable things that could have gone wrong at any time.

[Jonetta]

I loved it when Cork agreed to have Wally help him. Why not? As you say, Phrynne, he could not have forseen what happened and up to that dreadful point, Wally was all in.

Yes. I think Wally was definitely needing something to do. Cork was right to pick him. He knew Wally would have the experience required to help out and as Phrynne said, you can predict what would happen.
