is KDP select a good idea?

I've just contacted amazon to tell them that I want to take my book out of KDP select before the 90-day period ends. I've been very underwhelmed by it: I had 0 borrows and KENP pages read, and 0 unlimited sales. Also, I thought you could make your book available free for as long as you want, but you can't. You can only for five days, and then you can't even begin a countdown deal after that. I've had about 150 free sales during the five days, and then no one bought my book. What do you think?
