Once school had finished, Isabella made her way back to her locker, neatly putting her books inside and grabbing her bag, filling it with the books she'd need for the biology assignment. She was put with Chase but she figured that he wasnt really up for it and that he probably wouldnt end up doing it, so she'd finish doing herself. Bella grabbed out her car keys and headed outside, noticing him in the car park with his friends as she walked towards her car.

He chatted with his friends near his car, since they were carpooling. She she came in his line of vision he waved her over without moving from his place, kind of wanting to see her walking towards him as well. "Hey, Isabel!" he called, getting her name wrong, slightly. "What's the plan for biology?" he asked, folding his arms, watching her come over as his friends waited in the car.

As Isabella walked towards her car, she heard someone call ber name, though it wasn't quite right. As her eyes landed on Chase, she wondered if he actually said it wrong, or if je was just being like that. She noticed him with his friends, and that alone made her want to stay where she was, but she slowly approached him, biting her lip gently. "Hey chase. "Well, if you don't want to have any part of it then I can go it alone but if you do want to, then I guess we'll have to meet up somewhere."

Meet up somewhere... He couldn't miss that, of course. He'd have to spew out some lies. "Uh, well of course I want part in it. I have to. Pffft. I need to get my grades." he murmured "Alright so yeah we should definitely meet up." he leaned against his car, looking down at her. "You need my number?"

In all honestly, saying that Isabella was shocked by his response was an understatement. She didn't think he'd want to have any part in this, but he did. Something was up, surely. But Bella didn't say anything about it and she simply nodded. "Well, okay then."she said and pulled her phone out of her pockey, handing it to him. "Sure." She murmured softly with a smile as she looked up at him.

He grinned and took her phone, punching in his number into it. He saved it as Sexy Chase then handed it back to her. "Alright so just gimme a ring whenever you're up for it and we'll... Go ahead with it I guess." he shrugged. He looked back at the others who were waiting impatiently then looked back at her "Well, seeya later Isabelle."

Isabella smiled softly, watching him as he put his number in, naming the contact sexy chase. She rolled her eyes playfully when she saw it and slipped her phone back into her pocket. "Okay, sure."she murmured and glanced over his shoulder to see his clearly impatient friends. They obviously didn't like her, not that it surprised her. It was Chase that surprised her more. "Bye Chase." She saod to him, letting the fact that that he got her name wrong again go.

"Nye." he waves and hopped in the car, joining his friends and soon he drove off. His friends kept warning him to stay away from the new girl, that it was uncool to hang out with geeks like her and that misfits should always remain misfits; it was no use trying to bring her up in the food chain. He just shrugged it off. He had already accepted the challenge and he was going to fulfill it no matter what it would take. Then he would continue being the same guy he was, that everyone loved. He dropped his friends home and parked his car at one of their houses, chilling out with them. He hardly ever went home anyway.

Isabella got back into her car, driving home and.heading straight inside. She was greated with her angry and alcoholic father who did nothing but complain. "Why are you home so late?" He growled, glaring at her.
"I'm only ten.minutes late, I was getting some stuff organised." She explained softly, looking down
"Just go to your room,I'm going out." He growled, pushing her out of the way roughly. Bella winced slightly, heading up to her bedroom quickly.

He sat with his friend and played video games with him in his room, as usual. They ordered pizza. This was his usual routine, it only included having fun and doing whatever he wanted to.

Isabella lay on her bed, doing some homework that she had gotten in history when she decided to make a time to meet up with Chase. She pulled out her phone and tapped out a message to him.

hey Chase, its Isabella. Just wondering if you wanted to hang out tomorrow after school to do the biol assignment?

Chase was munching on his third slice of pizza, laughing with his friend Derek in his room about something weird that happened with him over summer vacation. He looked down when he got a text from her. "Some Isabella just texted me." he said not really reading the message thoroughly enough to remember who she was.

"Really? What does she want?" Derek smirked "Does she have a friend?"

Chase laughed and looked down at the screen again. "You have a girlfriend, you idiot." he read it. Oh.. Isabel is Isabella. Right. Her.

"Yeah I know.." he muttered.

Chase rolled his eyes before replying. He didn't want to do any assignment at all... But would still go. The things he did for, well, himself...

I usually don't plan so ahead in life ;) but sure. Remind me in school tomorrow. Odds are that I won't remember. he replied then thought if he had any sports or anything after school. Nah.

Isabella honestly didn't even know why she had bothered messaging him. He probably wouldn't even want to meet up anyway, as if he would. He was just trying to be nice since it was her first day, but since tomorrow obviously wouldn't be, she was expecting he'd move on. She read his message when it came through, not replying since she wasn't sure what to say. Bella jumped in the shower and then made herself something to eat. Her dad would be out all night, which would give her a break from punches.

The next morning Chase woke up a little late, but that didn't bother him. He was fine with late. He didn't mind missing a few classes. The only reason he was going to school was because it was his senior year and he wanted to get into a good college... And he wanted to socialize. It's not like he hates school, he liked it, but he didn't like being told what to do. That was his only problem. He drove to school, missing first period and was late for second. It was Math. He took a seat at the back where there was a space empty, getting a look from the teacher which he casually ignored.

Unlike Chase, Isabella was at school pretty early, like a fair few others it seemed. She figured she'd get her things and hurry up and get to class before Chase saw her. She still couldnt believe she had even texted him last night, but that was the least of her concerns. Bella looked down at her arm, rolling up her sleeve slowly to see a bruise already forming before she pulled it back down, covering it up. She bit her lip gently, sighing. Her father's abuse would eventually end, she knew it would. She just knew it. Bella's first class was Biology, which Chase wasn't even there for which pissed her off, but what could she expect? She started the project without him, having decided he was just saying bullshit and she'd end up doing it on her own. Might as well start it anyway. Second period she had maths, which unfortunately, was exactly the same class as Chase had. As he casually strolled in late, Bella glanced over her shoulder to see him, biting her lip gently as she followed him with her eyes to see he was sitting at the back. Slowly she turned back around and continued with her work.

Chase didn't even notice that Isabella was in his math class. He hated math so he needed to concentrate but he was so easily distracted because it was, well, math. He snickered at the back with a couple of friends, quietly, texting each other under the desks. He had completely forgotten about Isabella and the bio project. Only until after class when he bumped into her and apologized was when he realized that she, too, existed. "Oh, Isabel." he said, getting her name wrong yet again. That last syllable probably got to him. "Hey." he said, smiling cockily.

Isabella sat silently at the front, choosing to just ignore him and do it all herself. At least she'd get a good mark. Of all people she could have been put with, it had to be him. The one person who never did any work. Really, what were the chances!? Once class finished, Bella headed for the door, her books gathered in her arms. Suddenly, chase had bumped into her,causing her to nearly drop all her books. "Its Isabella." She mumbled, sick of how he kept getting her name wrong. "Hi." She said quietly as she left the room.

He followed after her, getting out of the room too, walking closely behind her. She seemed to want distance between them. That was odd. Usually it was the opposite situation.. Hs came closer, looking a little taken aback. He blinked. "That's what I said.. Isabella." he murmured. He knew an Isabelle once, but that was a long time ago and he didn't feel like making any connections. "Oh, yeah! The bio proj. Still up for after school? We could meet up somewhere, the library maybe." he suggested "Unless you're more comfortable at home..." he trailed off. Too soon? Maybe.

Isabella didn't want to be rude, but if he got tp close to her, her father would probably hurt him, but if she got to close to him she had a feeling he'd hurt her. Distance was exactly what she felt was necessary. But she could tell he aas still following her closely. "Mhmm" she murmured with a sigh, shaking her head. That wasn't What he said. Did he think she was an idiot!? Bella tucked her hair behind her ear, turning to face him. "Glad you remembered." She mumbled, biting her lip. "The library is too stuffy." She said to him, quickly shaking her head at his next suggestion. "No no no. Not my place-" she answered, a little too quickly. Bella slowly looked down, "I just mean that my parents wouldn't allow it. Is your place okay?" There was no way in hell she'd let Chase get anywhere near her abusive drunk of a father.

"I'm surprised I remembered too.." Chase mumbled, mostly to himself before looking up at her. She didn't want him to come to her house. Alright, understandable. But she was ready to come to his house? He was hesitant with bringing people home, too. He usually just went to other people's houses. He didn't like them meeting his family. He quite disliked them. They didn't do anything wrong, or anything, but he just rather keep away from them and keep anyone else he wants for himself, away from them. "Uhh... Maybe." he thought. Maybe he could sneak her in quietly and no one would notice. He was never in the mood for questions. "Sure, I guess."

Isabella bit her lip gently at what he had said, wondering why he even came up to talk to her about it. He could have easily just avoided her and she would have done it by herself without him even needing to lift a finger. he could have gotten away with it, so why did he come to her? At his reaction, she got the feeling that he didnt want her coming to his place anymore than she wanted him to come to hers. But she had a reason for that, she wondered if he did too, or if he just wanted her to stay away. Slowly, Bella began to walk to class with him, shrugging her shoulders. "If you dont want me coming over its fine, we can go somewhere else, or I can just do it all myself. I dont mind."

He walked slowly with her, not caring for the next class. It was probably a useless one. "I don't want you to do it alone. It's our project, remember? I need a grade too." he reminded with a sigh. "Yeah, let's just go to the library." he hardly ever went to the library. This was just his last resort. Why wouldn't she let him come over? Couldn't she tell that he hated going home? Maybe she did too.

Isabella looked up at him, holding her books tightly to her chest, biting her lip gently. He didnt want her to do it alone. Wow, he almost sounded genuine, for a moment or two. But this was probably all just bullshit, right? As if he actually cared about the grade. he was just trying to piss her off, and if he missed another class of Biol, she would be. "Okay then." She said simply with a shrug of her shoulders, running her fingertips through her hair with one hand. "Okay then, Library it is. Straight after school, yeah?" She didnt want to be waiting there for him to show when he wasnt going to. But why didnt he want her coming over? perhaps he hated home life just as much as she did.
