When I wrote this book about Bella, my therapy dog, I wanted to show the amazing ways therapy dogs reach people whom others see as unreachable. My book, which is adult nonfiction, is filled with true stories of the people Bella has visited, whether that's a special needs child in a school, or an unresponsive patient in the hospital. There are many books that touch the surface of what dogs do and how we like them--but my goal was to show two things: what it took to get Bella certified as a therapy dog, and the uncanny ways that she seems to always know just what to do.

The Labradorable Tails: A Woof Guide to Master MuttleryI have written a biographical book of,"tails" that tell of our beautiful black Labrador Chuck's unconditional love and warmth he gifted to all who knew him. I am in a wheelchair and he instinctively knew how to behave around me. He was an angel who flew down from Heaven on black velvet wings. He too was joy unleashed!
