Twilight vs New Moon: Which Director Got the Visual Style Right?

David Slade hates Twilight. He said that up front, before he got on payroll. The first opinion is always the most honest opinion. Because now, he "loves" it.

Did Stephenie have any say on the director? I find it odd she would keep quiet while someone who originally stated their dislike for the series would get a job as important as director.

Stephenie is very Mum these days, the only things she talks about are the positive things. I wish she would say how she really feels sometimes. I mean, her latest blogs give us no reassurance as to the lawsuit situation. She seems...chipper. Which strengthens my belief that she donated some aspects of herself to Bella. Keeping it private, and inside, is a very Bella thing to do.

Yeah...but I'm sure now she has a publicist that tells her what she can and can not comment on...kind of sad really.

okay, but i have to say that Taylor is just amazing in new moon, first of all they got rid of that widow's peak wig, and now it shows his muscles!!!!! lol cathrine hardwick was a little wierd, but m. night shamalan is a lot wierder. he directed a millon scary films, i hope he doesnt try to make new moon scarier than it should be!!!!! btw i absolutley dispise the lady who plays morticia adams..... she is the worst actress ever :p

I like the New Moon style better, except for Esme. I thought in the first one, she looked sort of... less harsh, like Bella described her in the book. Less angular. She's... softer than the others. (No, really, I'm serious.) Plus, they changed her hair, which I don't really like... her hair in the first one was more Esme-like, I think.

Also, UGH. I do NOT like Alice's hair this new way. The old way was WAY better. >_<

Yeah BG I think that might be the only part she is in during the book New Moon but I heard somewhere that in New Moon they were planning to show some parts of what she's up to during the whole time Bella is using Jacob to get over Eddie.

Yeah. If you think about it there isn't much time between books so she would be spending the time during New Moon getting things ready. Plus she had to already know that James was dead that's why she sent Laurant back.

New Moon has different elements to it, some people prefer those new elements to the old ones. People might like the story more, is all.
