Why, books of course :) I got The Silent Songbird by Melanie Dickerson, a book by Julie Klassen, and the complete novels of Jane Austen :)

Guuuuyys apparently there is a gay character and gay scenes in Disney's Beauty and the Beast! I'm soooo upset!!!

I know I was so excited for the movie to come out now they just ruined just it. They do not even need it or anything. I thought Disney was for all ages.
I agree. I hope it is just rumors though. And maybe the directors are saying it just to see how people react.
I REALLY hope it is just rumors and they don't add that. Because I still really want to watch it and see if it is good!

Personally, I wish they had gotten someone other than Emma Watson as Belle. I've noticed in the clips that she slouches a lot, and she doesn't have the sweet mannerisms or look of belle.
I am doing my best not to judge her before I actually see the movie, but I have heard a lot of people say that.
I was excited to see Beauty and the Beast, but now I'm wondering if it's right to watch it knowing some of the content. *Sighs in an annoyed way. If you have kept up with Disney they have been heading the way of putting something like this into one of their movies, and I feel things are only going to get worse. Where should we as christians draw the line? Has Disney gone to far? Is it time christians took a stand against something that practically spits in Gods face? I mean, if someone made fun of your friend would you give them money? I just want to hear y'alls insight. Is it morally right to watch the new Beauty and the Beast movie, or even go on in any way supporting Disney?
I've been wondering the same thing, Katie. I don't know either. I hear so many different opinions on it from Christians and they all sound good!
I am honestly not sure either. I haven't heard many Christians' opinions because...I don't go to a church and I don't have any Christian friends (except ya'll). But, if the director is just talking about a gay character and there actually isn't any "explicit' scene, I will most likely go and see it.
I haven't heard very many opinions either, I guess it just hasn't come up yet in the circles of people I know. From what I have heard there is a scene where the one male character talks of his love for another male. I don't know if that helps any of y'all in what y'all decide.Why can't things be simple and pure? I miss the days when I was a little kid and oblivious to all things ugly in the world.
Agreed ;) I am just going to wait a few days after it comes out to hear everyone's opinions. Then i will decide if I will go and see it. ;)
I will let you know. My youth is planning to go see it (unless if they have cancelled bc of the gay person) so then I will report what I think.
