Cocoa (chloeclik) | 4 comments Hi, I'm doing a study of trees for my photography degree and want to mention a specific book in my research. I read the synopsis on Goodreads a year or so ago, so all I know is that it's a fantasy novel and the plot is that one day all the trees in the world and roots suddenly burst forth through the earth skewering everything in their paths, tearing apart houses and well you get the idea. I haven't read it, I just wanted to reference it. If anyone could help that would be great, thank you!

The Trees by Ali Shaw?

Chloe, is this book for young adults (teens) or older adults?

Holly (hollylovesbooks) | 759 comments This isn't the book you saw, I'm sure, but one of the first stories about scary trees (haha) is Algernon Blackwood's The Willows.

Trillian | 77 comments I see you've found the book you're looking for, but if you're interested in attacking trees in general, I suggest Uprooted by Naomi Novik as well.

Glad we could help, Chloe.

I got *really* lucky with an advanced search on www.worldcat.org taking a minimalist approach:

Keyword: trees | Subject: fantasy | Fiction | Book | English
