Creating a new blog... Blogger, Wordpress?

Hi I really want to create a new blog and I want to create it for free and make it look professional. Which blogging software thing is the best and free? Is it the google blogger or something else?

I use blogger at the moment. It is free. I am thinking of going self hosted though with Wordpress later.

Depends if you think you will like to earn money from your blog. If so you need self hosted Wordpress.org (monthly cost) or blogger (free)
