A Gentle Reminder --

Not directed at any particular PI so please don't feel it so -- It was opined that our Parlor/Goodreads' guidelines should be revisited. Here we go with a few of my own. You may add yours to thread's end. But please, this isn't meant to stir things up. But any thingies you want to air, now's the time--

Goodreads rules apply -- (My add - Just treat others like you'd like to be treated. And if you've an issue somewhere else, please don't bring it here. For the most part, we are a harmonious bunch. If you've an issue with me, be genuine and take it up with me rather than talking behind my back and I'll return the favor).

(My Add - Also, I'm grateful when PI's invite authors to The Parlor; we love that. Having authors always adds another layer of depth and intrigue to a discussion. Just announce it so that we can properly welcome author. If they just pop in and no one knows, it's sad for no one is prepared and don't participate. We want to roll out carpet for guests who are good enough to visit and hang with us).

"New members must be approved by group moderators. My Add - (We've had some peeps stop in, post to pull members away. Akin to going to someone's party, telling guests to follow him/her to another doing after host went through time and trouble. That's just mean and rude. You do find other sites on your own in addition to The Parlor, but just ask if it's okay to post that rather than some who do a "hit and run").

Please no spoilers. Everyone might not be as far along in story as you. Guilty! as you all know, while you're on chptr. 5, 6 or 7...I'm just starting 1. I trust that holds true for all at some point.

Ideas are welcomed but please first run them by me off the threads/boards for if they are posted, then they are assumed already implemented. I'd like a li'l time to mull them over and think about wording or if another idea was being worked on then that work is wasted before they go up.

I didn't want to do this for school days are long gone but once I started, it was good to vent. If you've any gripes or ideas, post away, please. Thank you.

Just want to add above all let's be respectful to one another!
Both Tina and I have been on boards where that wasn't the case and it made for extremely difficult circumstances. We certainly don't want that to become the case here...we have a really nice group and would like to keep it that way.

Nicole, thanks for that and you won't see material like the above very often. We're adults and know how to behave but there was a small, recent incident and some felt the above needed revisiting. That's all.
