I cannot remember the name of a book that I studied in yr12 English about a greengrocer/fruit and veg shop worker who was framed/wrongly accused I think for murder or a crime. Character was foreign or of foreign descent (Greek perhaps). Set in Melbourne or Sydney. Talked about visiting the markets early in the morning. Had the word street in the title perhaps. Remember it was possibly a good book, but over analysing it for school english studies might have ruined it at time, would love to re-read.
