What You're Reading in July 2017

Well, we are now in the midst of summer! What do you like to read when it's hot outside? Do you have any favorite beach reads?

Right now I am reading Chemistry by Weike Wang. It is well-written and keeps me wanting to read. It's about a young woman who is working on a PhD in chemistry but she is having trouble in the program. She is in turmoil and it is affecting her mental health. I like how she builds the background of the character and I also like that she intersperses scientific facts throughout the story.

I also just started the audiobook of Into the Water by Paula Hawkins. I liked The Girl on the Train, so I hope this one will be a compelling read also!

For a fun summer read, I want to pick up Eligible: A Modern Retelling of Pride and Prejudice by Curtis Sittenfeld.
