Well, we are now in the midst of summer! What do you like to read when it's hot outside? Do you have any favorite beach reads?

Martha | 13 comments Right now I am reading Chemistry by Weike Wang. It is well-written and keeps me wanting to read. It's about a young woman who is working on a PhD in chemistry but she is having trouble in the program. She is in turmoil and it is affecting her mental health. I like how she builds the background of the character and I also like that she intersperses scientific facts throughout the story.

I also just started the audiobook of Into the Water by Paula Hawkins. I liked The Girl on the Train, so I hope this one will be a compelling read also!

For a fun summer read, I want to pick up Eligible: A Modern Retelling of Pride and Prejudice by Curtis Sittenfeld.
