Asylum, Finished (view spoiler)[So, it was Felix. He was possessed? That didn't clear up things very well. And Sal's wife is Lucy. It's sad that Ricky and Kay (from the prequel) managed to escape but she stayed there. I think reading the prequel first ruined things a bit, just my opinion. This book was a bit blah, Escape was better.
Something that wasn't explained was why Dan's face was scratched from Jordan's picture.
Anyway, still intrigued about Dan and his friends, so I'm picking up the next books (hide spoiler)]

I accidentally read some of your spoilers and the Cal character is in Sanctum, might make more sense to read after the second book.

Chapters 1-6 (view spoiler)[ Ok so far the book seems to be on the non scary side. Dan seems like a normal kid, trying maybe a bit to hard to fit in, but nothing out of the ordinary. I mean even the photos that they found were not so bad. I mean they are in a Asylum, that is what people thought was appropriate treatment back in the day. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 7-14 (view spoiler)[ ok so Abby and Dan finally go on their first date and it is a bit awkward to say the least. Dan has been having nightmares ever since they came back from sneaking into that wardens office. Abby tries to give him advice to get him to sleep. It works but of course there are more nightmares. They sneak in again and find a secret floor,after that they all seem to be on edge but no one is admitting anything yet. I think they are being haunted by something. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 15-24 (view spoiler)[ ok so there is a lot of nothing going on for me in the majority of these chapters, the gang ( Abby, Jordan and dan) are pretty much on the outs with each other all three of them seem to be in a seriously affected by whatever is down in the lower levels of the asylum. Jordan finally admits that he has been having nightmares as well although no one else admits at that time. Dan takes it upon himself to go further down in the asylum, passing out and being found by Abby. When they get up stairs they find out that Joe, the hall monitor had been killed and arranged to appear like a statue. Just the way the sculptor had arranged his victims. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 25-37 (view spoiler)[ Ok this was an ok book for what it was, I can definitely see it scaring someone younger. Come to find out it was Felix all the while, and Dan Crawford the old warden was taking control of Danny, somehow...
It all seemed to come together in the end... The only question that I did seem to have is everyone seemed to have a connection with a person that was in the asylum, who was Jordan connected to? and Felix for that matter, why did the sculptor choose him?
