Oh god. I'm dropping this book. I just can't handle the pictures. When the picture of a book appeared on my kindle I screamed LOL...
Did you guys find the pictures scary??

I didn't find them particularly scary. A little unnerving since they are real photographs but they are only in the first few chapters when (view spoiler)[they first explore the basement levels. (hide spoiler)] There isn't that many of them, don't worry. :)

I've seen scarier pictures by accident on google!

I think the pictures in my head were scarier than the pictures in the book. It made it feel more like a game to me because of the photos.

I tried the book again but the pictures in chapter 4 gave me heart attacks. The descriptions were frightening enough! The girls widened eyes was the last straw haha

I agree. What hallucinations are Dan on? Clearly they aren't best friends. They never were to begin with. Wishful thinking on his part lol

All they do is argue and now they've grown apart due to Abbie's obsession with her aunt/girl in the photo. Jordan's mood swings are horrible and he's not very likeable at all. But he seems to be the semi-normal one who doesn't want to go back to the abandoned office.

Chapter 29 -(view spoiler)[Is Dan going mad?? It looks like either he's got someone posing as him (ghost of the Warden?) or he's getting big gaps in his memories.

First off he couldn't even remember being called a weirdo by Abbie. Next, he can't recall taking a photo with Jordan and Abbie.

Yikes! Is the Sculptor for real? How did this guy, whoever he is, even get Dan's number? And if Dan didn't send the message from his phone to Jordan, who did? (hide spoiler)]

So we can all blame Dan's condition for having lapses in his memory? Is Daniel Crawford living inside him or what?

And I'm certain it was Professor Reyes who moved the filing cabinet to trap them downstairs. But no idea what her plan is...

Chapter 22 (view spoiler)[ Abby can be really harsh and moody at times! But the stuff with her aunt is quite interesting! I'm guessing that Dan is going to be related to the old warden? Or my other guess is that they're all actually the people they're relating to at the asylum - so Abby the little girl Lucy, Dan the warden, and Jordan a gay man being giving electric shock therapy (hide spoiler)]
