August '17 Serial Reader Challenge

Finished my second of the month. A series that definitely needs to be read in series order. Book 3 in the series, which I just finished takes place within weeks of the events in book 2. Enjoyable quick reads.

Finished both books for the month:


Corpse on the Cob was wonderful, one of my favorite Odelia Grey books. Odelia left her comfort zone to confront the mother who had abandoned her as a child. Along the way -- what else? -- she got involved in a mystery.

Twice as Dead, on the other hand, was less appealing. The plotline never really came together for me, and I felt it was not up to Ms. Jaffarian's usual witty style. It did, however, pick up at the end and left a question to be answered in the next book.

Finished both books. The first one was really fun to read while the second one was not bad. Still, some findings about Darcy at the end made me a bit annoyed. Will try a few more books in this series to see how it develops.

Finished my second August book, "The Diva Haunts the House." This series is so good, I am really enjoying it. Now I have eleven days to read just anything that suits my fancy. Looking forward to September.

Three days ago I finished my second August book, Envious Casca by Georgette Heyer. I love this book, it was such an fantastic read, I couldn't put it away. For me it's Heyers best mystery book.

Yea. I did not finish this month. I only managed to finish one of my books this month. The good news is I liked the series :)
