Hi Karen!
I did miss your post. I'm glad you liked Charming The Prince. I read it a few years ago and don't remember the sex scenes. I almost want to go read it again to check out the weirdness, lol.
I hope you like A Kiss To Remember!
I finished Temptation Rising – A.C. Arthur and I enjoyed it. I did want to throttle the heroine a few times but overall it was a good read.

A Knight In Shining Armor is linked to the Montgomery series but is considered a stand alone.

Hey Karen~I'm a bit late and am just about to start
... Better late than never right :D?Been excited to read this one
Hi Shelby! I thought I'd already posted this, but when I went back and looked I couldn't find it, so I'll try again - it's really sad when the brain starts to go...I finished The Collector about a week ago, and as usual with most anything Nora Roberts, I really enjoyed it. Thanks for the pick! I'm hoping to get to a couple more this month but July is always a busy month for me, so I'm not sure if I'll make it or not - hopefully I'll get to at least one more!
Arielle Rae wrote: "Dee wrote: "Arielle, I finished my first book - The Law of Attraction - I was really enjoying it until the end, and then it just ended and it was like WTF...so i dropped a star for ..."i did start reading the second one - it was just like...ummm I kind of like some semblence of an ending - glad my friend who loaned me the kindle version had books 1 & 2 or I may have been more grumpy
Liz-I finished my second book
. I'm glad I finally read it because it has been recommended to me SO many times on this challenge and others. I didn't love it but didn't hate it. I am assuming the series gets better as it goes on so I'll put the next one on the TBR. Hope to get at least one more in this month…probably
as I currently have that out from the library.
Pam - i found Dark Lover only ehhh...the only reason I suck with the series was because everyone told me how awesome book 3 was and I'm glad I did
Book 3 was good, Pam. I confess, though, that I couldn't continue after book #4. The OTT description, language, names were just too much for me given that I'm not much of a PNR fan in the first place. Just to give a different view as almost everyone I know are fans of this series.
I'll agree book 4 started the downward trend and yet, I keep reading the damn things...although haven't read the most recent yet
Fran wrote: "Hi Bethany,I read a second of your picks for me....The Theory of Attraction
. What a fun, sexy read! Nerdy scientist has a few secrets...."Yay,
Im so glad to hear that! ☺
BreannI finished
early yesterday and absolutely loved it. I made the comment in my review that I've definitely stopped thinking of this as the other Singh series. I'm anxious for October to get here so I can read the next book. It looks like it will be mainly about Ash & Janvier with a touch of Raphael & Elena.
Pam--I just finished my 4th PIFM this month
and liked it. I may try more of this chit-lit romance series. Thanks for the recommendation.
Hi Everyone!Just wanted to let you know that the August PIFM is now open. Stop by the thread and sign up if you would like to join in for August!

The dependence on pills (pain, anti-depressent, etc;) and the rampant meaningless sex is so true of now. This book should be a part of every high school english curriculum, if it's not already.
Suzanne--I'm glad that you liked it. I read it back in high school myself, and remember that it made an impression on me...
Amy J - finished my reads for this month, both of which were alien/science fiction books, now that I think about it.
- looved. loved the narration more than anything else. can't wait for the next one.
- didn't love quite as much. and yes, the logo is supposedly similiar to napster because the entire story is about copy infringement and music and aliens. kinda got bogged down from the middle onwards. narrator did a good job but glad to get it read and done. thanks for the picks!!
Hi Kaileigh, I just finished my second pick for the month, one of the lo-o-o-ng ones: The Wheel of Fortune. It took me most of the month to read its 1171 pages, but it was good. Thanks for recommendinig it because I would never have picked it up otherwise, even though it has been sitting here on my dusty TBR shelves for years! It was a 'multi-generational, totally dysfunctional family, star-crossed/mixed class lovers' genre, complete with murders and cover-ups and greed and much more. For anyone who likes to read a mini-series in book form, this would make a great one!
hi, karenhjust wanted to let you know that i read
(thanks for the buddy read),
- enjoyed,
- really enjoyed and
- kind of "meh" for me. i'm going to try and read
before the end of the month. thanks for the picks!

"I'm glad you enjoyed! No throttling heroines, please, unless of course they are TSTL, in which case, go for it!
Penny - I've finished 2 picks so far. I so wanted to do more but I think I over-extended myself this month. I still have 1 more to go in the Monthly Challenge and 4 more in the Meet n Greet Round 4 Challenge and none of them overlap. Sigh. So much to read and so little time! Here's what I read. I'll update again if I get a chance to read more...
Goal Keeper
✔Go-to author or a comfort read book:
-- NEW: Flowers from the Storm - Laura Kinsale

Midfielder
✔Nerdy/take charge lead character or futuristic/dystopic/apocalyptic:
-- NEW: Beauty And The Geek – Roni Adams
-- Read 07.14 ★★★
Hi Runell, I just realized I haven't been back to update - oops!I've finished two more picks - Rock Chick Rescue and Rusty Nailed. I enjoyed them both so thank you for picking them!!
I won't be able to finish, but I do plan to start (and hopefully get a good chunk out of) Outlander. I just have to finish the book I am listening to first...

and
. I liked them both and listened to both in audio. Styxx was the longest book I have listened to, and while it was good, I just think there was probably a little too much detail in it. If you decide to read this one, keep a box of tissues handy.I liked Romancing the Duke, but for me, I think it was a little predictable. It was a very sweet happily ever after kind of book though.
Thanks for the picks Kait. "
I've never read anything by Kenyon before but I've meant to for ages. Night Pleasures was picked for me in Meet and Greet so I'll finally make time for it in Aug or Sept. I can't imagine doing the audiobook version of Styxx! O.o I have trouble paying attention to audiobooks unless I'm doing nothing but sitting there :P I'd never finish.
Glad you liked both books :)
Hiya Kami! :)I can't believe it is already July 24th and I've only had time for 1 book this whole month :( I was able to read a book a day in June. July just isn't my month apparently.
I just finished Attachments by Rainbow Rowell. I enjoyed it (3 star read for me) but I definitely didn't do the book justice because of how broken up and slow my reading of it was. I absolutely LOVED Rowell's writing style, so unique and enjoyable to read. It's just... because I had so little time to read everything was so drawn out and the romance was already slow burn, it felt achingly slow to me. (view spoiler). I definitely plan on reading more from Rowell though and hope to one day reread Attachments when I can read it in one or two sittings, I think I'd enjoy it a lot more that way.
Thanks for the pick! I hope to get more in but based on how this month has gone thus far... I'm not holding my breath. I added all your picks to my TBR though and will definitely get to them when I have more time to read.

I only read one book this month for this challenge too so I understand getting really busy. I liked Attachments, but I agree it was slow at times. I want to read more by her also.
Nancy H,I was able to get two books in this month. Probably not my best month for reading, but thanks for helping me them off my tbr :)

:D I actually had a quiet weekend and was able to do more reading!
I reread
. Thanks for picking it for me! Eve and Roarke are one of my favorite couples but it's been a long time since I've read any books from this series (sometime before I joined GR in October since I didn't have any Robb books on my read/TBR). I love this first book sooo much and was excited to have an excuse to read it again.
Hi Kaileigh,I just finished my third pick for the month,
, and it was really good! Thanks for giving me the nudge. I will definitely be reading more in this series.

Hey Sandy! Thank you so much for my picks! I really loved Stars & Stripes. It was a solid 5 star read for me and wonderful to get back with two of my favorite characters!
There are a few more books on the list that I'm going to get to in the next little bit I'm sure. Most especially Outlander. It's up in the next week or so I just don't think I'll get to it before the end of the month.
Thanks again!!!

Pam--I just finished my 5th PIFM this month,
and liked it. It was a very thoughtful story and was well written. I listened to it on audio, which was well done. Thanks for the great recommendations!
Amy J - Squeezed in one last read!
- very very cute and very very interesting. definitely different from the YA M/M offerings out there.
Hi Suzanne, I finishedSo You Want to Be a Wizard it was very enjoyable fun light read.I started Shadow of Night last week but probably won't get in it done in time. BIIIIGGG book
I finished a second pick right at the wire, LOL. I finished Ready Player One. I LOVED it so much! This book is definitely in my top three best books that I've read and loved this year. I loved it so much and am giving it five stars. Five ++ stars!
Kami - i was surprised by how much i enjoyed Ready Player One - since I wasn't a video gamer by a long shot - I can barely play tetris
Penney - I didn't read even half what I wanted :-( Just too many other challenges to finish. But I'm so glad I read Flowers from the Storm - I'm late to the historical romance world, especially the older ones, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect - except maybe it would be a 'bodice ripper'. Boy was I wrong!! This was such a great book - I could squee on it all night but that's been done for the last 20 years or so, so I won't add mine to it. But thanks for the rec!!!! Now I must go find more Kinsale...I plan to start Rock Chick Rescue this evening and while there are more nights than not that I would stay up to finish it, tonight I won't be doing that - too many nights of THAT in row this week. But at least it's a start on some of the other ongoing challenges I've got going.
