So, just read the synopsis, and the basic concept sounds hellofva lot like The Host by Stephanie Meyer. Does the plot and semantics eventually branch out? Should I still read this? Is it worth it?

It's not even REMOTELY like The Host. The dynamic between the characters and background in regards to the society are totally different (and the writing is much better, too).
