"You look to be a little too snug down here," a casual, masculine drawl came from the solitary cell she just passed. Unlike many of the occupants, the voice was inviting and relaxing. Not something you'd think to find where the worst of the worst are locked in.
In the cell, sitting at a table in the center of the tiny room was a man with bandages wrapped around his arms and a single one around his head. He has long red hair which was braided behind him allowing a pair of beautiful blue eyes to view everything with precise precision. He looked like a friendly guy, soft features and didn't look harmful at all. He even wore a slight, soft smile on his lips.
"What brings you down here, miss...?"

The man raised a brow, resting his chin on his hands, "how unfortunate. Why would they lock up someone as pretty as you?" he asked. It was as if he was completely ignoring the fact she had giant arms that were made for crushing. "How rude of me, I haven't introduced myself," he said but he didn't move from his spot. He was assessing her, learning everything he needed from her to see if she would be of use for him. This meant he shouldn't move, he might frighten the little deer. He could pretend to be a nice guy but his walk often gave him away.
"My name is Shihainin, but feel free to call me Shi."
"My name is Shihainin, but feel free to call me Shi."

Shi glanced at her arms, "I see. Couldn't you just break the door down anyway?" he inquired. State of the art sure, but a wall was still a wall and a door was still a door. Humans never strayed too far from the basics. Shi mainly asked so he could calculate the approximate strength those arms of her had. If she could, then...
"I would like to ask you another question, if I may?" he inquired politely, "do you believe you deserve to be here?" he asked.
"I would like to ask you another question, if I may?" he inquired politely, "do you believe you deserve to be here?" he asked.

Shi nodded, "I see," he mused but had a feeling if she had the initiative to do so, she could easily break it down. These guards were fortunate that she didn't have the ambition to leave. He'd have to change that. "Bad things in whose opinion?" Shi countered, closing his eyes while he gave her a smile, "corrupt people make the laws in their favour, anyone who does things they don't want... who looks differently, are punished for things not in their control," he stated but he finally stood up from his spot and moved to sit on the opposite end of the table, closest to her. He sat down on the edge of the table but his eyes remained close. "A little unfair," he stated. "One last question; if you could get our of here... would you take the opportunity?"

((No worries, hope you're having fun!))
Shi let her ponder over this for a bit, wanting the doubt to sink in, the slight spark of hope. Shit shifted so he was sitting crossed legged on the table, his arms resting on his legs. "You desire to leave, to return to your family. You want to be free. Staying here won't get you want you want," he said, his eyes now open, looking at her. He has her attention, all he needs to do is to tie the strings. "I can help you. If you listen to me, your desires will be fulfilled, I promise you." There wasn't any difference to how he talked to her, but it was still different. Whittling her brain, tugging on all the right strings.

Shi noticed how unusually easy it was to persuade her. Even with the dimwitted, he would have a little more coaxing to do. She was definitely a broken girl who had no will of her own. He couldn't help the twitching of his lips that wished to turn into a devilish smirk. "I need information, my dear, about the inmates and the guards of this prison. Do you think you'll be able to break into the Warden's office when she's away and get me those files?" he asked and stood up to go over to her and handed her a flash drive. He instructed her on the exact method to do so, having a feeling when the time came she'd remember. "You'll do this in two days, wait until the alarm has gone off, that is your signal to proceed with the plan. Once you get it, get out of there, hide the flash drive on your person and get caught," he told her and smiled. "Understood?"

Shi nodded, "Precisely," he replied but he didn't explain the last bit of his plan. "Just make sure you willingly get caught and do as they say. Everything will turn out as planned," he stated. They'd know the Warden's office was broken into, trying to hide that fact would be unwarranted. However, if the culprit gets caught and goes to solitary without fighting, they won't need to be unconscious and it gets Ryoko back to him as quickly as possible without much hindrance. It won't be the first time someone attempted to break into the Warden's office for some reason or another.
"Make sure, if they ask, you were looking for the radio to contact the boat," he added as an after thought, "nothing else."
"Make sure, if they ask, you were looking for the radio to contact the boat," he added as an after thought, "nothing else."

Shi smirked as he watched her leave. What an obedient little puppy, he thought to himself. He'd already assumed some vague backstory of how she got here just by the answers she gave and the way she reacted to his orders. It was nice not to be so dependent on his 'powers'. If only she was a smart person, maybe she would have realized talking to someone in solitary was the worse thing to do.

Two days later, Shi was waiting for a specific time. He sat in the middle of the table in his cell, legs crossed, eyes only open by a slit and his hands folded neatly on his lap. A few seconds later, Shi smiled and opened his eyes. "Time to begin."
An alarm blared throughout the building, red light flashing and the sound of thumping feet as the guards raced down to solitary due to a certain inmate going crazy in their cell, the cell right next to Shi.
That alarm was her signal to complete her mission and soon, the guards had taken care of Shi's neighbor and the guards were just learning of Ryoko's escape. It would be no time before she would be brought down here and Shi was ready for when that happened.
She would be brought in, escorted by the majority of the guards in this building, weapons aimed at her in case she tried to anything funny. They lead her to a cell (one that had been adjusted during the two days) and she was locked inside.
The guards would soon trickle out and it was silent for a while. That is until the sound of jiggling keys echoed into her cell and the door swung open to Shi wearing a guard's uniform. "Ryoko," he greeted, his eyes closed. "You complied quite nicely," he praised and motioned for her to approach. "The drive," he asked, holding out his hand for it. "I would like for you to keep an eye on the guards, figure out their schedules and the times they usually make their rounds," he requested, "report back to me weekly," he added. "You also may return to your usual cell. This incident never happened." Shi internally smirked. He had a spy in the compound now, of course, he'd need more seeing as there were many buildings, but all this knowledge collection was for a purpose. He would have never found any of this information out if he'd been on the outside.
He was expecting her to be a bit flustered at the fact he was out of his cell and the fact he was saying she could return to her original one. Lots of questions, but he was more interesting to see if she had the mind to ask them.

Ryoko "woke up" in a solitary confinement cell. She was a bit surprised to be put in one, but she was even more surprised when the prisoner from before started to demand things from her. She wasn't sure what exactly he expected from her, but she seemed to have some slight knowledge of what he wanted. Her hand went to where she was hiding the hard drive, but it paused. "Wait... who are you? What did you make me do?" She asked, glaring at him as he so casually demanded more if her. One of her beastly arms clenching in anger.
Shi raised a brow when she asked who he was. That was unusual. He did introduce himself before he began using any of his persuasion. She conveniently forgot all about his existence. So, that's what happens. How tedious. "I am Shihainin," he said, feeling bitterness on his tongue at the fact he needed to repeat it. "But I said for you to refer to me as Shi," he continued and leaned against the door frame. "You only got me the information necessary for us to escape from this prison," he drawled, "you were quite willing to help me, considering in here you can't rekindle with the family you were taken from." He watched her carefully, testing her reaction and what triggers her. Mostly, despite how relaxed he seemed, he was prepared to react if she got violent.

Shi smirked a bit, "Oh, that. Well, a prisoner from solitary can't go walking around without an escort. So, I need to look the part to get around unnoticed," he stated simply. He didn't want to explain everything to her, it wasn't her job to know. She was just a pawn in his goal to free everyone from this prison.
He paused for a moment, looking at her carefully before he spoke. "Do you remember killing?" he asked her, knowing from this experience, she probably had forgotten what she was made to do.

"So you do know you're the cause of it? No possible error for misjudgment?" Shi mused, not evening looking at her at this point. His eyes closed as he leaned against the doorframe. "I'm sure you're aware that many people here have abilities," he stated, "supernatural abilities if you will," he added, "who is the murderer when someone possesses a body and whilst in that body kill people. Is it the owner of the body's fault... or the conscious enity controlling it?"

Shi snickered, what a foolish girl. He opened his eyes and took the hard drive from her massive fingers and bowed. "Pleasure doing business with you," he drawled and straightened up. He looked her in the eye then. "I truly believe that no one can make anyone do anything they didn't want to do," he told her. "Hiding such killing instincts could prove to be destructive if you're not careful."
"Fruit for thought," he said with a tip of his stolen guard cap and was gone from sight.

Shihainin sat in his quiet, cold and dreary cell. He sat across the barred gates of his prison, a table separating him from the locked door. His eyes were closed as per-usual, his long red hair braided and hung against the back of the chair. His hands, bandaged a bit laid on top of the other on the table in front of him. All in all, the man could be mistaken for simply just chilling in his boring ass cell. A smarter person would see it for what it truly was. He was waiting. Prisoner 0661 looked to be a nice guy, compassionate and thoughtful. Everything from his posture, sitting position and facial expression portrayed this fact thoroughly, no ounce of anything but. Just patiently waiting.

"Evening," Shi greeted, his voice like velvet, smooth and sultry to the ears. Pleasing to the point of intoxicating. It made sense why people assumed he could control minds with a voice and air that made people want to believe and hang onto each of his words. "Mr Holmes, isn't it?" he mused, his eyes did not open nor did his position change from where he sat, "what do I owe this pleasure?" he inquired. It seemed to be quite earnest and truthful in nature, everything about Shi screamed it. Not even an expert at reading liars could tell that Shi had already predicted Jack's arrival. The man was intimidatingly calculating and this prison was his chess board. Those who wanted to stay dominant in a situation took the higher ground. Royalty on their thrones, slaves on their knees. The fact that Jack remained standing portrayed his authority and control over the situation, supposedly. Someone who had keen instincts akin to animals would sense that despite the relaxed and open way Shi was sitting, it was like he was towering over the earth.

Shi hummed slightly in agreement, tilting his head an inch in a nod to confirm. He waited patiently until he could audibly tell the cameras had shut down. Acutely tuned to the noise despite it seems to make none. When you were someone who dealt with terrorism and assassination, knowing cameras better than anyone was a good thing to know.
Shi chuckled to himself when Jack spoke, his eyes had yet to open this entire time. Shi could conduct himself better than someone who has been blind their whole life, better than most who could still see. His eyes gave him away. His perfect little polite boy smile, charming and endearing, ruined by the intimidatingly calculating and cold eyes that matched his soul perfectly. The eyes were quite the window to the soul. Thus, he conducted most of his interactions with his eyes firmly shut.
"I see," Shi mused and began to lightly tap his finger against the table, letting the moment drag on to the point of irritating. Especially to a man waiting in anticipation. "Unfortunately, I will have to decline," Shi told Holmes finally, "you can not research a power that does not exist," he explained himself simple with that statement. He shrugged a little and ceased his tapping to lean forward, forgoing the polite and proper straight posture he had taken prior. "I cannot control people's minds, I am not an inhuman being..." he drawled in his velvety smooth voice, "I simply bring out someone's innermost deepest desires. Those they keep locked away from even themselves. I just lead them onto the right path, you see." As he explained, it was beginning to be quite clear that this man, despite seeming and speaking coherently sane- was very twisted. Someone having read his files would be able to pick that up considering they would know some of what he had gotten people to do.
"So, as you can see, I do not have any supernatural ability to experiment with, however..." he drifted off, tilting his head just an inch to the side, the corner of his lip curling up, "I am intrigued on what you wish to use me for."

"Believe what you wish Jack Holmes," Shi drawled, his expression on his face still open, friendly and kind- but to an extent that only seemed slightly mocking by this point instead of genuine. Shi couldn't convince this place that he didn't have the ability to control minds so it wasn't shocking a simple-minded guard thought the same. It didn't matter to him all too much, as long as people understood that he cannot be stopped if he wished to get something done. One little crack in someone's facade and Shi had them.
Shi chuckled, leaning forward to have his elbows propped against the table, his hands clasped together and placed right below his chin. "I will let you in on a little secret, Jack," the man basically purred, his eyes still yet to open. He paused for a more dramatic effect before continuing, "human beings are much simpler than people assume. Everyone has the same basic desires and emotions. We're not as complex as we make ourselves out to be," he spoke but left it out at that.
Shi tapped a finger on his chin, lazily as he contemplated for what was only a few mere seconds. Free-range was something that Shi could easily get but with the backing of a guard would allow him not only a longer time period before needing to return but if he played his cards right, the information he required. Using someone like him would be beneficial, especially since his power seemed to be useful for a later date. Play along with his wishes would be quite easy. If he wished for control of this prison, he'd have it when Shi had it destroyed.
"I cannot promise information all the time, not if they have absolutely no desire to share it," Shi said, though the possibility of that occurring was rare. People had the instinctive desire to share information and thoughts so it wouldn't be that much of a problem. If it was, using someone else to get that information was as easy a pie. "But in compensation, I would like some confidential information about inmates and guards in as many buildings as you can get copies of. Having more people under your control would be good, wouldn't it?" Shi negotiated. He gave no hint of thinking underhandedly, in fact, everything he said and how he acted only portrayed an acceptance to assist the man across from him in his schemes. "Along with the free rein."
If Shi's information about Jack was correct, then using his people would be a piece of cake. Zapped of their individual will and under the influence were people of easy picking with Shi's manipulation. It wouldn't be like Shi would be telling them to do anything that would damage or harm Jack in any way. Not directly.

Shi said nothing about Jack's statement, mainly because he did not care about it. It was a little bit amusing for Shi that Jack thought he had on the control in this situation. It was cute.
Shi did nod his head though, "information should be easy enough, though something that is rather unbefitting for my expertise," he mused, the last bit more to himself than directed at Jack but nonetheless spoken out loud intentionally. If he gained information than it would be sufficient enough price to pretend to be this guy's dog.
As Jack threatened Shi, the man himself simply stayed put, proper posture, hands on lap, eyes closed and a polite smile on his lips. Completely unfazed and unaffected. "I applaud you," he decided to say, leaning closer as well so they were eerily close to each other. "It's insulting to be taken as something docile. I look forward to seeing what you will accomplish," he spoke in a near whisper, his voice tantalizing to the ear. "Ambitions are such a tricky thing," he finished and leaned back in time to grasp the folder.
For the first time since Jack entered the room, Shi opened his eyes. Not all the way, only half-lidded really to skim through the file he was given. However, it was enough to slightly alter Shi's expression. Instead of some measly lad, he looked dangerous. Bright blue coloured eyes that were not only cold and calculating but somehow chilling. "You require information from all of them?" he asked, referring to the few people in the file but did not look directly at Jack. If he was to know what Jack wanted from him, he'd need to know this and what kind of information he wanted to be drawn from them. Otherwise, it was like searching for a needle in an ocean.

Experimenting. Shi had to give it to the guy, he could be underhanded in the most predictable ways but sly all the same. If Jack had been dealing with someone less versed in manipulated the fuck out of people, all of this would go down without a hitch. However, it wasn't the case.
"If you already know everything there is to know about me, testing me on two people with little difficulty would be pointless, especially if your aim is to use me to get information from troublesome individuals," Shi's velvety voice stated, this time wasting no time to get to the point of the problem. "If you really wish to test my abilities, using three difficult participants would be more ideal," Shi concluded, his eyes closing once again and his head tilted up to directly face Jack once more. "Specifically since you already know the answers, answers that anyone could get from the first two candidates, some even just by looking at them."
Shi's face lifted into a smile that looked kind and rather bright in a cheerful and peppy way, careless in fact. However, the slight tension in the room was enough to portray that things had turned to very thin ice. "It would be a very bad decision to underestimate me, Jack Holmes, especially without your guard dog by your side. Not that he would help much." His words were predictable, easily understood without being said, well the beginning of the statement at least. "Please try and pull out the best of the bunch you can get your hands on. Once you're satisfied with my skills, the faster we can get things ticking."
Shi closed the files and slide them back to Jack across the table, folding his hands on his lap once more. "I don't like wasting unnecessary time."

((I am soooo sorry for not seeing this for so long, I don;t know why I didn't see it, I feel really bad...don't be mad or anything.))
((no worries it happens xD))
Shi was going to point out that if Jack didn't have any prior knowledge of the information he'd be collecting, there would be no way to verify whether or not Shi had actually been successful. For all Jack would know, Shi could have got some random information that he made up on the fly. No matter, Shi didn't care. What made Shi a little annoyed was how he was being looked down and treated like a mere dog.
Shi was quiet, the careless, charming smile on his face didn't waver as he patiently waited for Jack to conclude this meeting after the phone call. His back straight and poised with his hands returned to his lap once again, eyes firmly shut.
"Until then Jack Holmes," Shi drawled, his voice as silky smooth as before. As soon as Jack was out of sight, Shi chuckled to himself, standing up from the table and headed towards the very door Jack just left through. This was going to be entertaining.

((I had fun too. ^^ Shi's fun to rp with cause he's such a two faced douche. xD All about testing the waters, grow from the experience.))
