Hi, I am new to the librarian club.

Can anyone tell me why the same e-book, seemingly the same edition would have two different entries with two different sets of ISBNs?

I want to add the paperback edition to this entry, but should I merge the existing editions first?

It's not our concern why the same edition has more ISNBs. As long as each one is correct we can only combine them. You can add the paperback as well and combine with the existing editions!

There can be many reasons why a publisher releases the same book with multiple ISBNs (or ASINs). In the case of ebooks, one possibility is different formats (ePub v. Mobi v. PDF), but there can be many other reasons.
