C; They arent into serial killers and wouldnt know he misquoted.
D and B; They are far too vacuous.
I will answer C.
The reason why he "quoted" Ed Gein is the same reason why in the TV show The dead zone they had a school shooting episode and one of the kids who the school thought was a likely suspect was a kid who owned a copy of The A-Z encyclopedia of serial killers. They actually show the real book on the show. They ask him about his opinion and instead of mentioning Idk...some obscure case [Richard Cottingham, Richard Chase, Dean Corll.] the kid mentions Ed Gein. It's because Ed Gein is well known. Everyone knows about Ed Gein.
The quote is from my favorite serial killer case. Edmund Kemper who said it during an interview with a crime reporter. He freaked her out more when he pretended to be a dead body. Explaining that he snapped Sally's neck when he strangled her and then he proceeded to dangle his neck as though it was broken. Imitating her body.

A) They usually just talk about things like dinner reservations and where they buy their suits, and this is pretty heavy
B) Bateman doesn't realize that he's the only one who thinks the Gein quote is funny
C) They're embarrassed that Bateman mis-attributed the quote to the wrong serial killer
D) The other corporation vice-presidents at the table think of pretty girls as life partners at best, status symbols at worst; they are not head-on-a-stick guys
E) All of the above
NOTE: If you answer C or E, you MUST complete your answer by saying who the correct serial killer ought to be.
