I've got four right now, Brent Weeks' first novel, which is a great dark fantasy read, Ultimates X-Men volume 4 which I should have done tonight, Regeneration, which is a great book set in WWI and really explores the different ways war affects people, and the Towers of Midnight by Robert Jordan for a nice epic fantasy.
This week finds me reading six books:Webs of Fate - I just finished this book.
Voyage with the Vikings - read this one with one of my sons.
Memorial Day - on page 191.
Comfort & Joy - my neighbot lady loaned this one to me.
The Little Women Letters - Reading this one for work.
Friendship Bread - My name came up on the library list.
I like to read a book that suits my mood, so (as I am rather temperamental) at any one time I'll have 3-5 different books going. Right now I'm reading a non-fiction book on dog training, a mystery, a fantasy and book of essays by female Dr. Who fans.
I am currently reading 6, and that's pretty much my norm. I have books scattered throughout the house (makes it sound like I have a big house, which I do not), and I pick up whichever sounds interesting at the particular moment. Mostly I read large sections of a book at a time, and then pick up a different book when something gets slow or depending on what is going on at that moment in my life.
in the past i found i could never read more than one at one time, but that is changing recently. i think i'm at four right now:harry potter and the goblet of fire (rereading the series)
i am number four (guilty pleasure is ya fantasy)
the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy
the weird sisters by eleanor brown
I read one book/Nook book, and I listen to two audiobooks. I listen to one in the car during my commute to and from work and I listen to one on a portable cassette/CD player at home while cleaning house.
I currently have 5 books going! I am stressed because the stories are so different that it takes me 5 minutes when I pick-up the book to remember the what was happening the last time I read the book.

I usually have a minimum of three, and as many as five, going at any point in time. I like to have selections to read according to my mood, and since I'm rather temperamental...
I am listening to one, The Girl with No Shadow and reading three others: Touch of Power, Russian Winter, & The Spark: The 28-Day Breakthrough Plan for Losing Weight, Getting Fit, and Transforming Your Life.
