I realized that Li had swallowed the bullet casing.

I couldn't figure out why Li would purposely swallow the cartridge. I could see him putting it in his mouth to hide it, but not swallowing it.

Robin, I think he thought swallowing it would ensure his killer couldn't take it out of his mouth.

Lauren, I felt he was trying to leave a clue, thinking that person would be the owner of that gun, it could be traced back to the gun type and that person might be on the list of people who could be a suspect.
