I was thinking about the comments regarding Will as a business entrepreneur, and I think one reason Will seems like the senior at the DS is he tends to follow the play book. Not that he can't improvise fast or deal with changes, but he prefers structure, organization, rules -- he works very well within that environment. He's a top notch agent within their very familiar professional world.
Taylor is much less linear, and much less bound by rules, let alone guidelines. Which makes him an equally brilliant, but very different kind of agent.
But from the point that they impulsively strike out on their own, I think they are tugging against each other a bit -- neither has experience at running a business, although they are expert agents, and starting your own business is difficult even when you've got experience.
They're used to excelling within an already existing structure. So they're both out of their depth, but I think Taylor is better able to function in a practical manner when he's out of his depth.

I think Jordan was asking about the delivery time of Blind Side. I do hope to have it out before the end of the month. I'm actually working on Murder Takes the High Road for Carina right now because there is no flexibility on that date (I already postponed it once). So it's a busy, creative month juggling two VASTLY different projects. :-)

Taylor seems to be in his best in all those "out of his depth" situations. His approach to problem solving seems very creative, at least in their crime cases. I was wondering, is it said at any point if he might have some artistic skills? He does have an aesthetic eye for Japanese culture, but otherwise I can't remember anything related to artistic tendencies (other that renovation skills). I mean, this is a guy I could easily see doodling crazy cool sketches while on phone... :-D

Nice insight.
It's at about the mid-point (48-50% mark) of Old Poison, in a sentence that winds up one of Josh's brilliantly described sex scenes (the one with the driving analogy that I mentioned earlier in our discussion).
Taylor had taken him with gentle, relentless strength, and for the first time Will had stopped struggling against it—mentally, that was—and just enjoyed the fact that Taylor was taking control, driving them. Part of what Will loved about him was that rough and reckless strength. Maybe because he looked like the kind of guy who should be going to art museums and babbling about postmodernism, but he was a hard-nosed, hard-ass cop at heart. Taylor's tenderness always took him by surprise.

I had totally forgotten about this bit. Yes, this definitely could have something to do with the way Will has a hard time getting over the fear of losing Tay.

I finished Dangerous Ground yesterday and it’s still as much fun as ever. I either forgot or never realized that it all takes place in the span of a day and a half, roughly. Will talking himself around to giving it a try and realizing his feelings for Tay, and Tay just being happy for anything he can get at that point - the balance of power does seem a bit lopsided. I think it's just on the surface though. Will's the more practical one, and he knows Taylor's track record, so that’s how he has to approach it. He’s not as quick to put his feelings out there as Tay is, but the feelings are there.
I do have to wonder why he asked Taylor if he had protection when Will had already found the condom in his pack. Was he trying to determine if Tay had come on the trip with seduction in mind or if he was serious about just wanting to talk things out? Or is it just that he knew what conclusion Taylor would come to when told about the condom he found and was hoping to avoid that? Maybe both?
I found myself picturing Orrin as the actor who played Samuel Campbell on Supernatural. I do wish Bonnie hadn’t been quite so panicky. I started to wonder why Orrin brought her along.
Now onto Old Poison.

Interesting pondering!
I went back to read the bit you mentioned and — miracle of miracles! — my paperback magically opened to exactly the right page. ;-) (But seriously, this IS one of the hottest sex scenes ever!)
Anyhoo, I don't think Will actually asked Taylor if he had protection with him. Or maybe I just missed it? But Will definitely didn't offer the info that he himself had a condom with him. In fact, he's clearly postponing saying it, isn't he. And Taylor's train of thought that follows Will's condom reveal :-) is wonderful! Sexual jealousy for David Bradley, right? :-D

Maybe both, yes. Although I'd like to think Will already knew Taylor so well (and the way his logic works) at this point that maybe it was more about the fact that Will knew what conclusion Taylor would come to when told about the condom...

Right! Now I found it (page 71 in the Armed & Dangerous print book):
Finally, Taylor managed to wriggle free, and half-lunged, half-waded to the other side of the tub. Will turned his head to spit out the water he'd swallowed. "Hey," he said. "Do you have any protection?"
Taylor bit back a grin, scissoring his legs through the water. "You think I'll need more than the SIG to keep you back?"

Finished Old Poison yesterday and started Blood Heat. I forgot how insecure Taylor was about Will's feelings for him, but Will picked up on it and made sure to say ILU first. Awww!
I do feel bad for David. Through no fault of his own (or Will's), a very promising relationship went up in smoke. I almost can't blame for giving it one last attempt. Almost. But keep your lips to yourself, dude!
From Blood Heat:
"Some girls had a thing for shoes; some girls had a thing for double gauge. His was not to reason why."
LOL. Like there aren't guys who don't have a thing for shoes. ;)

I don't know about Will's voice, but so far I'm liking what I'm hearing in the sample much more than the first narrator.
I already have the first audio books and liked the narrator so am not sure if I will pick up the DM audios, though listens to a sample and certainly liked his voice. Not sure about Will but am sure it is very good.

LOL.
This is what Josh said in our When Josh plays elsewhere topic in December 2nd, 2013, when we were talking about the interview:
This was one of the most entertaining interviews to write because David is perfectly logical in his reasoning and his deductions. He's just starting from the wrong premise. He assumes -- is absolutely convinced -- that Taylor does NOT love Will as he does or as Taylor should.
So if you start from a faulty premise, all that follows, while logical, is still going to be incorrect.

And the thing is, I think a lot of people believe that very same thing. No one could love this person as much as I do.
I can clearly see where he's coming from in his deductions. I think it will be interesting to reinterview him in a few years time when it's even more clear that Will and Taylor are stuck together like glue.

If I recall there's a persistent Fanyon side-conversation where it's suggested that David Bradley be paired up with the least favorite character in whichever story we're reading. :)
But I'd like to read David's HEA (not necessarily as an MC in his own book, but at least as a side note to a DG story), especially if his soulmate turns out to be the anti-Will. Hmmm... maybe a twink with a dominant streak, who mistrusts the military, but is a genius hacker whose services are needed for some important mission? ;)
Now the interview following that pairing would be brilliant!

That is a good point, Karen. It doesn't have to be in his own book. A side story somewhere will work just as well.
And that's an interesting pairing youve created. Though I'm not sure if David would go for someone like that. But, what the heck do I know? Also, love does work in mysterious ways... lol.

*chants* David/Alonzo David/Alonzo David/Alzono *end chant*:D
I do see where David's coming from. He's not at fault for the breakup so clearly Tucker is. And he's not completely wrong, just more delusional and aggressively hopeful than is healthy. But he just sounds so much like That Guy during that interview, I really want him to suffer (at least a little) for his HEA, lol. He really needs to move on.
I finished Blood Heat yesterday. I forgot how wacky and out of control that whole escapade became before they FINALLY called in reinforcements - and they weren't even the ones who called but the poor boy in the hospital did. *headdesk* THIS is why they shouldn't be partnered anymore and why - despite how painful it is for both of them - the assignment in Paris came at the right time. You can't do your job effectively if you let emotions rule your decisions, and Will did that - twice, almost three times. I really wouldn't have been that surprised if Will had jumped into that hole to be with Taylor if there hadn't been other considerations. ;) And then it's Taylor, the "emotional" one, who does what he needs to do and grazes Will with a bullet to take down the bounty hunter, lol. It's such an interesting juxtaposition.
I'm reading Dead Run now.
Here's something I hadn't noticed before in Kick Start: A couple of times Will & Grant's "Grandma Mills" is mentioned.Hmmm... Mills... Mills... Where have I heard that name before? I don't suppose the Brandt family could be in any way related to a certain Elliot Mills who lives further up the coast -- or could they???

Josh was not doing David Bradley any favour with that interview. He's a twat and he's obviously still dismissive about Taylor's commitment.
