There are hardly the right words to describe how wonderful working with Shalini was (or perhaps the words exist, but I haven't been able to string them together well enough)! She absolutely went above and beyond, providing pages of extremely detailed and considerate observations, and nuanced feedback for my manuscript, while being considerate of my feelings as a writer - a pleasant mix of constructive criticism and encouragement! I gave her 150,000 words to sift through and the turnaround time coupled with the quality of work was unmatched. I'll be sure to work with her again.

Shalini provided extremely useful, constructive feedback on my 140,000 word manuscript. Her turnaround time, including reading the previous three novels in the series was phenomenal.Shalini challenged my writing in such a way that I was finally able to see/acknowledge that several subplots were unnecessary, and several characters could go.
I appreciated both the thoroughness, and the sensitivity that Shalini demonstrated in her feedback, and I'd definitely use her services in the future.

The feedback that I got from Shalini was excellent. She answered all of my questions and concerns with far more detail than I ever expected and I have a much clearer perspective how to fix the story's problems now. She also gave me an incredibly comprehensive rundown of how she felt about the book in regards to plot, characters, writing style, pace, worldbuilding, and dialogue which was also very helpful and opened my eyes to a lot of issues I was missing.

Shalini read my Crossover Epic Fantasy and gave me good on-the-fly feedback, as well as a summary document for the big picture on plot, characters, and more. Very useful feedback, highly recommended! I'll use Shalini's services again.
Shalini always does an amazing job when assessing a manuscript. I have worked with her on short story manuscripts, which got her accustomed to a certain tone with my work. While she recently read a historical romance novel of mine for the second time, which does change up in tone to suit the genre, Shalini gave wonderful feedback on the manuscript's strengths and weaknesses. Of course, I will come to her again in the future.
When Shalini gives you a compliment, you know it comes from the heart. Just like when she offers constructive criticism, you know it's sincere (even if it hurts just a tad). In today's world, it's really hard to find honest people, but Shalini is by far one of the best! I'm a bit late, as Shalini beta read my novel over the early fall. I so appreciated her services! She was prompt and timely, and her feedback was so thorough.Though she was very candid and not shy about pointing out what worked and what didn't work for her, I really appreciated it. When I think of Shalini's beta reading, the phrase that comes to mind is "tough love." She's kind but she doesn't mince words. She's a very astute beta reader, who can go straight to the root of the problem. Sometimes it may feel like a root canal, but she does it with a little novacaine so it won't hurt so much. But in the end, you're going to get a much better book. I appreciate her honesty. She's given me great feedback that will greatly improve my book. It's hard to take criticism sometimes, but we all need someone to tell us what works and what doesn't and give us a way forward. I'm back at it again, cutting out a lot of excess baggage, which should quicken the pace essential to my genre. Thanks to Shalini, I'll have a much better chance of getting published.

Shalini was SO amazing when beta reading my 140k word romance/fantasy novel. She was extremely thorough with her feedback and provided excellent notes that really helped me to understand what my book needed in order to become successful. She provided an in-depth analysis of each character and each chapter, and it was JUST what I needed. I had edited my novel several times over the past few months, and I felt “stuck” on what else could be improved upon (although I knew it wasn’t perfect… it needed SOMETHING). Turns out, it needed another set of eyes from a professional reader, who was able to tell me where I was lacking and where I was thriving. She pointed out the negatives and the positives, and it made me feel like I was definitely headed in the right direction. I have used Shalini for a second time as her feedback from reading my first novel was invaluable. So much so, I have since signed with a publisher. Absolutely top notch. I've used Nila before for a previous book that I ended up getting traditionally published, and I believe her feedback was instrumental there. Most recently, I submitted a speculative domestic suspense to her, and once again, her feedback was spot on. Nila has an excellent eye for detail, story, pacing, and character arc. She's kind, but she'll give it to you straight, which is what I want. Her keen eye has provided me lots of opportunities to tighten up my manuscript.
