Who is the MAIN Character?

We experience so much of Mabel's thoughts and feelings in this book and see a certain transformation in her? Would you consider Faina to be the main character? Or could it actually be Mabel?

For me, it's Mabel. Jack a close second. They're the ones I cared for most.

For me it was Mabel as well, although I don't think I recognized that until the end of the book. Faina just seemed like the catalyst for all the other character development.

I think that Mabel is the main character. It is through her that we learn about the story she remembers as a child that links us to the main storyline.
