Need Help Finding Book Title

I'm trying to find a mystery I was told about. In the book, people have lost the ability to see those people who are not like them (mostly poor can't see rich and vice versa). The two worlds are on top of each other, but people have no idea. A crime happens in one of the worlds and a cop has to travel from his world into the other world to solve the crime. I know it's not a lot. Any thoughts?
