Chapter 6 - 10: (view spoiler)[I really hate how most of the men never see Lada as anything but a womb or wife. She is a very formidable woman and I suspect a sociopath. But it works for her and makes her forge a path for herself that many woman won't have for centuries. :/ (hide spoiler)]

I was mad a Matai for spying on Lada for Mehmed but it was also what confirmed to me that Lada is a sociopath. :/

Review: (view spoiler)[OMG this book was so good! The only negative I have is that it dragged a bit at times.

I love how the characters have grown. Lada finally succeeded in her goal of becoming prince. Mehmed succeeded in his dream of taking Constantinople. Only poor Radu was left with nothing as his dream was impossible.

I feel the most sorry for Radu honestly as he is so in love that is completely delusional. At least Lada and Mehmed have their ambition to keep them going but Radu only has Mehmed.

I was happy to see more of Radu's wife Nazira. She is a really good friend to him and I hope they are really happy together and that Radu finally finds someone he can love who also loves him.

I admire Lada for her bravery and her willingness to fight for her country. I think she is also headstrong and most of the time reckless but she is also willing to listen.

The person who fell most in my regards was Mehmed. I was glad there was no POV for him this time as then I might sympathize with him more. I think the author did that on purpose so that we would like him. I really hope her improves in the next book I will be very sad. I also really hope there is another book as the ending was not satisfying at all and I will be very mad!! (hide spoiler)]

I think I read it in January. The ending is the fuzzy bit. Now I Rise mentioned someone named Ilyaas but I only vaguely remember him.

But of the three I still liked her the most since I feel she didn't change since the first book and Mehmed did. Radu also didn't change but for the worse. Ch. 38 (view spoiler)[ I'm loving Lada more and more. I really like this Daciana girl. I wish Lada didn't need Toma, I don't like or trust him. Honestly, I'd like to stab him myself. I'm really hoping Radu and Cyprian survive everything. I want them to be a thing. And I hope Mehmed gets Constantinople but then I want Lada to take it from him along with Radu and leave Mehmed with nothing. Mehmed does not deserve either of them. (hide spoiler)]
