Well he had arrested her husband at one point. So I could see why there might be resentment. Even if the husband had deserved to be arrested at the time.
Her husband's arrest seemed minor in retrospect so I thought her resentment cut much deeper than that one event. When I learned he had died at the hands of law enforcement and because of his devotion to Indian rights and activities, I could see how Cork represented all of that in her mind. It wasn't him personally.
