Alice, this is awesome! I started Left Hand of Darkness but got a little turned away by the steep material - it seems to be a book that is not a quick read and will definitely take all of your attention. That being said, I will definitely add her books that you mentioned reading first to my TBR.

Also, did anyone else see Lucky on Shudder?

Alice | 6 comments I wish I could! We’re on a rural satellite system, so dysfunctional, streaming out of the question :(

Has anyone read Mallory's book?

J-l (j-lhugs) | 1 comments Hi! I'm from Quebec, Canada. I read a lot of detective novels. I find comfort in the procedures. I also read grapic novels (mostly from Image). This year I also read a few biographies and I just finished reading the 5 finalists for Canada Reads.

Suzanne Moses (suzannekmoses) | 1 comments Hello! I’m fairly new to the podcast, I first heard our fearless hosts through other podcasts and I’m working my way through the backlog. (I’m a compulsive completist.)

Though I will read in almost any genre, my shelves are weighted towards speculative fiction, science nonfiction, history and politics nonfiction, and regency romance.

I’m particularly glad to find a community that seems like it won’t judge me for the massive amount I read. I’ve been tossed out of book clubs and unfriended on Goodreads for reading too much!

message 108: by Jane (new)

Jane | 1 comments Hi, I’m Janie! Is this group still active? I’m interested in joining a book club related to the pod if there is one!

I’m a freelance writer and voracious reader originally from the southwest, now living in Maryland. I have to squeeze in reading time wherever I can fit it in because I have various writing gigs and family responsibilities. Hope to meet some cool people here!

Liz | 4 comments Hello to anybody that may still be active in this group! I found this podcast maybe 2-3 weeks ago and it has already done so much to motivate me to read! I'm a therapist living in Washington state. My reading challenges over the past several years have gone downhill so I'm happy to have some new inspiration :)

This Podcast changed my outlook on reading! Glad to see you join the Glassers. Have you figured out your wheelhouse? I am still putting mine together, but I am getting there.

message 112: by Liz (new)

Liz | 4 comments @Moose, I've become a big fan of cozy mysteries! I love horror, particularly anything to do with someone losing their minds or trying to escape something. I've learned from the glasser's how specific wheelhouses can get so I'm definitely still narrowing mine down!

The Rudie Librarian (Brian) (therudielibrarian) | 1 comments Hi. I am Brian and I am from Dallas/ Fort Worth, TX. I am an elementary librarian and book lover. I have a currently neglected podcast, YouTube channel and other social media in which I talk about mainly books and music. I have been married for 20 years and have two awesome kiddos.

message 114: by Elle (new)

Elle | 1 comments Hello! I am getting back into reading after a very long hiatus, but I am enjoying the reintroduction.
My name is Elle and I am from South Florida. I work as a sex educator for middle and high school students and I absolutely love it. When it comes to reading, I am partial to horror, unreliable narrators, and the body (in a more nonfiction realm such as Stiff by Mary Roach). Overall, I am excited to connect with new people and learn of new recommendations!
