I have just started this. I remember liking the movie, and the book's dialogue does have that "movie script" feel. A lighter read, with bits of humor so far.

As with The Friends of Eddie Coyle, these criminals aren't exactly politically correct. But I think it's to make them seem more realistic. This book is nowhere near as dark as the Eddie Coyle one, though. Thank God - I needed something on the lighter side.

Yeah, I am having a lot of fun with this.

It's definitely "gangster-lite." I like how the methods of the criminals work equally well in the Hollywood movie scene. There's alot going on in the plot, but I'm enjoying it.
