It's american....guy murdered was guy the prostitute had been with...he went out to get some alcohol and came back and witnessed murder x

A guy is a prostitute and he has a favourite client who i think is called David....he witnesses the murder of another client and runs to this *david* for help.....they hide out but don't notify the police till it's almost too late.

It's not a long book I don't think...not sure if you'd call it a thriller x
