Faith couldn't get support from Miami law enforcement because they didn't like that she counseled serial killers. What do you make of their behavior (excluding Catalina Vega and Neil Davies)? Did it seem like the Cincinnati law enforcement was going down the same track?

Faith was maligned by her ex and her work with the monsters didn't help and that made it impossible for her to get assistance in Miami. Their behavior was very sad and totally reprehensible. Everyone involved, starting with her ex, should be fired. Cincinnati police weren't as bad, but I think that was because Deacon was such a strong supporter.

Ditto everything you said. I wonder how true to life this might be. Her ex-husband needed his butt kicked.

The book left unanswered why he was so vendictive that he would put her life in danger like that.
