No, there was more to it than that. Adam just wanted to blame it on her because it would make it easy. To be skeptical wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but Adam got to be downright vicious.
I think he started with a chip then just wanted to be obstinate with Deacon and Faith was an easy target. It was much more than this, even if Deacon's objectivity was questionable. Yes, he had a point but Adam had overcompensated and lost his objectivity, too.
After all Adam did to help Deacon get the job. It was really strange to see Adam turn on him like that.
