It surprises me that they went after her so hard. Of course they needed to thoroughly check her out, but they were ready to lock her up and throw away the key when they found out she worked with the monsters who molest.
That really bothered me about the plot because it didn't make sense. I could see crazy Adam pushing this theory beyond limits but everyone else should have told him to knock it off.
I also think that Faith, deep down, realized it was a human scream she heard the day before and that girl was lying on the road in front of her.
I felt that law enforcement's reaction was a bit swifter than (ideal) investigators should jump into before they had a chance to question her and to let her tell them the children's connections to her therapy sessions.
