We met Deacon Novak in an earlier story involving Daphne Montgomery. Did you remember him and his physical distinctions? Had you ever heard of the Waardenburg Syndrome before this story?

[Anita]

I remembered him. He made a real impression. I had no idea what Waadenburg Syndrome was.

[Jonetta]

I definitely remembered him because I wanted to know more about him. And I'd never heard of that Syndrome. Apparently, it's what David Bowie had. Never knew he had different colored eyes.

[Anita]

I really like that KR moves characters around. Most authors don't do that. She has a whole 6 degrees of separation thing going. Deacon's character was amazing given his backstory.

[Charlene]

I don't remember Deacon. He impressed me much more this time, for sure! I'd never heard of this syndrome before, either.

He was the one that saved Daphne's son at the farm/burial site.

[Sharon]

I remembered Deacon. I wanted to know more about him during Daphne's book.
