The Librarian of Auschwitz was very good!

Try The Cursed Sister. It is actually based in 1972 but it is about events that took place in WW2. It features a female survivor of Belsen concentration camps hunting down a group of SS guards. I thought it was excellent and the leading female character is brilliant.

Beneath a Scarlet Sky was one of the best WWII books i have ever read. I would love to read more like this if anyone know of them. I am tired of reading about France and Germany. I want to read about what happened in other places. I want something in Africa, Greece, or Norway

Joanna Trollope writing as Caroline Harvey wrote The Brass Dolphin, which is about the war as experienced on Malta. It was very good.

Angels of the Pacific and When We Had Wings- both books were about army and navy nurses on the Philippines during WWII. For me, they were unputdownable!
