For myself, I don't think I've ever looked through a Twitterer's back list even when they include 'Writer' in their handle.
Book link usage history does suggest that people click through to my book from Twitter, but most clicks come from the US, whilst most of my Tweets (apart from the shameless plugs) refer to stuff that I would expect to be only of interest to UK dwellers. However, I would expect my Tweets to enrage many of them, even when they sparkle with wit; perhaps that's why.
