In a discussion about her first novel, Liz says the only reason she finished it is because she let it be incredibly imperfect. And as such, she quotes her mother when she says "Done is better than good." Even ending that particular chapter by concluding that "mere completion is a rather honorable achievement; most people don't finish things."

What do you think about this belief as a creative person, or even a non-creative individual?Should an artist of any sort simply settle for being done with something instead of nitpicking at it? Might this even say something about the standards of the artist?
