Anastasia (anastasiaharris) | 1731 comments Marie you should suggest the outlaw one. It would be good.

Nicole Sterling | 452 comments Am I off on my time zones? I thought the new suggestion round was supposed to start at 1:00 p.m. EST, which was almost an hour ago, but the topic is still locked. Not complaining, just wanting to make sure I'm not confused on the timing.

Jillian | 2935 comments Marie, those are both great prompts. I hope you suggest them.

Marie | 1064 comments I'm happy for anyone who likes to put those forward, I won't get territorial about them :) I think the time period one might've been a suggestion that didn't win last year? It feels familiar.

Katie | 2360 comments The suggestion prompt is now open. I had something come up and was a few hours late.

Nicole Sterling | 452 comments Hooray! The 3rd mini-poll suggestions list is open!

Quick question to the mods - can we resubmit a suggestion that was seconded in the 1st or 2nd round and voted on, but didn't make the top or bottom four, or are those out of the running?

I must have started writing my last post mentioning that the suggestion list was open at the same time you posted that. :)

We all have lives & things come up, so I'm sure everyone understands that it doesn't all run exactly on a strict time schedule. I just wanted to make sure I was doing my time zone calculations correctly, so I would know for the future if I was on time or not.

Zaz | 2969 comments You can resubmit, but it's probably a better idea to keep resubmits for later in the process, when the list is fuller (more chances to have a winner as we usually lack new good ideas at some point).

That does make sense. Thanks! :)

Jillian | 2935 comments It might be fun to have a later poll be second chance poll, for earlier suggestions that did not make it in the bottom or top of earlier polls.

Oh I love that idea! Like the mods could provide a list of all the prompts that neither won nor bottomed out, and then people could second the ones they felt should get a second chance. I have a feeling it will be a long list even if people resubmit ideas between then and now!

message 62: by Zaz (new)

Zaz | 2969 comments We did that twice last year (polls 6 and 13). For this year, people didn't seem really interested in doing it again. We'll see later if the mood changes!

I haven't read No Country for Old Men, but The Road isn't a western, more of a dystopia.

Marie, I also like your "book about outlaws", I'm noting it down for later if nobody suggest it ;)
