For one, the author confuses self-publishing with vanity publishing. Big mistake.

In the first article. There are two links. One is twaddle and fails to mention the old but still perfectly viable approach of submitting one's manuscript to a publisher.

The second is a link to a "marketing service" which I fail to believe is of great value.

It's a HuffnPuff article--a puff piece for a marketer. There's only one comment on the Huffington site, so this misinformation isn't being widely read. I never read Huffington, anyway.
