When did you buy this book? And why didn't you read it? Any idea at all about what genre it was?
This Is the Life by Alex Shearer?
Quote from the book: "...a moving testimony to both the resilience of the human spirit and the importance of the simpler things in life, like not taking a dying man’s tea kettle away."

I remember once purchasing a book from poundworld and it was utterly amazing! There was an excerpt on the back of the jacket which said something like 'Never throw away a dying man's kettle'. That's all I can remember about this book, that and the fact that the jacket was a bright blue and the genre was fiction.
