Adrien has to get Lucy's okay to work with Jack Culver, former Bullet Catcher who was fired and is persona non grata. Do you remember Jack from any previous story?

[Robin]

I didn't remember him at all. Do you know if he was in a previous book?

[Jonetta]

Nope. I even looked back over the character lists and he's not on any of them.

[Robin]

That is one thing that bothers me about this series. For a group who has worked together for years, we don't know a lot about the people in the organization. The only one we've seen with any regularity is Lucy. The others may get a quick mention in one book before they get their own book. We really don't know anything about them when their story starts.

[Jonetta]

She should have given the details on Culver at the very beginning. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out if it was covered in an earlier book.

[Robin]

I did too. I read the first two books in the series quite a while ago and figured he may have appeared in them, but I couldn't remember him.

[Charlene]

Same here; the details of his firing seem important for the reader to know.

[Anita]

I didn't remember him from the other books either. I'm sure Jack Culver's backstory will be covered well in the next two books. It looks like we have the beginnings of a love triangle with Jack-Lucy-Dan. Should be fun.

I keep wondering if Lucy and Dan have a past or are they just friends?

[Anita]

I always had the impression that there was definitely something, especially on Dan's part.

I've wondered the same thing.
