When Mia loses Sam for that time at the petting zoo, what did you think was going on at the time? Did you suspect that this wasn't a random event? What did you think of her sister Vivian's reaction?

Laura I figured it wasn't random, but I thought he was really taken. I thought her sister was out of line, but it was an honest reaction. She could have cut Mia some slack, especially since he was ok.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments I also thought he had really been taken .

While Vivian's nastiness toward her sister was uncalled for (it could have happened if she had been there instead of Mia), I can still understand her reaction. It was her child's life after all.

That fear is indescribable (I once lost my sister’s 3-year old son in a department store for about two minutes). Vivian probably needs to be forgiven because she was not in her right mind.
