Encouragement / Thought For The Day
Yes, Urs, I think this thread is a great idea; thanks for posting it! Sorry I didn't see this before now. I was on vacation last week, with very little access to the Internet; and ever since I got back on Sunday afternoon, things have been very hectic, with a LOT of catching up to do.No, I'm not in David's group --I'm in so many I sometimes feel just about "grouped to death," but not in that particular one. :-) (And really glad for you that your AC is functional again!)
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!
If we give God the little that we have, we can trust Him to make it go around.

Hope you had a wonderful vacation! I certainly understand the getting back into the groove. We had just gotten back from vacation when we came home to no air. :/ Thank you! The blessings we notice when we don't have them, huh? ;)
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!
It is God to Whom and with Whom we travel, and while He is the End of our journey, He is also at every stopping place.
Elisabeth Elliot
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!
Time is a very precious gift of God; so precious that it's only given to us moment by moment.

Good thoughts, Urs; thanks for posting! (And yes, we did have a good vacation; hope you guys did too.)
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!
The goodness of God is infinitely more wonderful than we will ever be able to comprehend.

Good. I'm glad. We did. :)
Urs wrote: "We did." Great; glad to hear that! If I recall correctly, I did see that post earlier, because it sounds familiar. (I think I just didn't answer it; some things get neglected when I've got a lot of irons in the fire, which I usually do! :-) )

How are the grandchicklets? hehe! x)
Happy Saturday!
Urs wrote: "How are the grandchicklets? They're doing fine (rambunctious as usual :-) ). Today all four of them were invited to a birthday party for one of their cousins (on their father's side), so they've been petty excited about that. That's where they are at the moment.

NEVER AGAIN will I confess or focus on "I can't," because the Word says:
"I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13 NKJV)

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (II Timothy 1:7 NKJV)
Never Again!
NEVER AGAIN will I confess or focus on doubt and a lack of faith, because the Word says:
"For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith." (Romans 12:3 NKJV)
Never Again!
NEVER AGAIN will I confess or focus on weakness, because the Word says:
"The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1 NKJV)
I love this verse! My very favorite! Thank You, Lord! ♥
"Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery;but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits." (Daniel 11:32 NKJV)
Never Again!
NEVER AGAIN will I confess or focus on the supremacy of Satan over my life, because the Word says:
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He Who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (I John 4:4 NKJV)
Urs I love it! Always stand by the word of God! Yes, Focus on the blessings of God for you...keep growing in Christ!

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. (II Corinthians 2:14 NKJV )
Never Again!

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, Who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5 NKJV)

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5 NKJV)
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.” (Matthew 8:17 NKJV)

Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
(I Peter 5:7 NKJV)

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (Romans 8:1 NKJV)

Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen. (Matthew 28:20 NKJV)
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5 NKJV)
Never Again!
NEVER AGAIN will I confess or focus on curses or bad happenings, because the Word says:
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. (Galatians 3:13-14 NKJV)
Never Again!
NEVER AGAIN will I confess or focus on discontent, because the Word says:
Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content. (Philippians 4:11 NKJV)
Never Again!
NEVER AGAIN will I confess or focus on unworthiness, because the Word says:
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (II Corinthians 5:21 NKJV)

For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
(I Corinthians 14:33 NKJV)

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
(Romans 8:31 NKJV)

Never Again!
NEVER AGAIN will I confess or focus on insecurity, because the Word says:
When you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet. Do not be afraid of sudden terror, Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; For the Lord will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught. (Proverbs 3:24-26 NKJV)

WHY GOD GAVE US FRIENDS
GOD knew that everyone needs
companionship and cheer,
He knew that people need someone
whose thoughts are always near.
He knew that they need someone kind
to lend a helping hand.
Someone to gladly take the time
to care and understand.
GOD knew that we all need someone
to share each happy day,
to be a source of courage
when troubles come our way.
Someone to be true to us,
whether near or far apart.
Someone whose love we'll always
hold and treasure in our hearts.
That's Why GOD Gave Us Friends!

Hey Werner,
I was thinking about some regular doses of good stuff for us around here! :D Would that be OK with you? I decided to jump in with this over at David's place---are you over there?--and thought it would be good for us, too. :) Let me know what you think, please. I was thinking at least four or five times a week.
I was kinda missing you--I've been kinda crazy, and went for EIGHT days with no A/C. :( Oh, boy, did I have to do a lot of praying for my attitude! ;) Hope all is well with you and yours! Take care!
