at the beginning -- I was totally intrigued. About half way through, I was frustrated with what I thought were inconsistencies in the main character's choices. At two-thirds in, I was bored out of my mind, but luckily (for my sanity) it picked up soon thereafter and ended with a quite exciting sequence of events. The writing is poetic, metaphoric, and beautiful. Music metaphors
throughout were a plus.

I'm so sorry for being totally inactive this month. I read
in the beginning of the month, but then I kind of went into a reading slump. The past two weeks I've been trying to read
without any success. Read 1.5 chapters and couldn't bring myself to continue because I could only think about all the similarities with HP.I've gotten about 1/5 into it now though, and it seems quite good actually. Might be able to finish it this month.
