MacKenzie (dog-ma) | 7 comments I read this book about 15 years ago and I think it has a red cover. The premise is that the main character (woman) agrees to help the police find a killer who searches for victims through dating/matchmaking services. She ends up in the hospital, she meets a detective, they get it on in his truck or something.

I think she had curly hair and no family (her friend visited the hospital).
