Nah it's fine. In our school, there's the British program and there's the American program. The British program is harder but the certificate from the exam is internationally accepted, while the American program isn't, so most people prefer the british program.

Aw, jealous! I have about 13 weeks left of this academic year - and then 2 more, until GCSEs. Then 2 years of 6th form.

Ooh, ooh! Also, we're going to start finishing at 2.35pm on a Wednesday in September. However, that means no movement time between lessons, a 30min lunch to feed 650-odd students, and no pastoral (woo!). But yeah. It'll be cool. Also, on Fridays, we'll get a 1hr 15 lunch break, and no pastoral! XD

Haha, we start at 8.45am and finish at 3.35pm. The whole school has lunch at the same time, we don't have multiple lunch periods, like you guys. And pastoral/tutor group is basically just PSCHE where we do activities, talk aboiut drugs etc.
They're basically going to end school an hour early on a Wednesday next year, and start having 3 pastorals a week rather than 5. And then we'll get longer for lunch on Fridays (we normally get 45mins). That's all. I forget you guys work so differently, sorry.

thanks guys! and im pretty sure Australia is the simplest yet still f'ed up education system! we have 4 periods a day with a 40 minute recess after the first t2wo then a 20 mins recess after the third. we have roll group every morning where they mark the roll and read notices. then whole school parade on tuesdayt mornings :)

Haha, we're (England) is quite alike to Australia, it seems. 5 1-hour periods, each one different, daily - like Bee. After period 2, we get a 15min break, then after 3rd period, we get pastoral/tutor for 30mins then 40 minute lunch. And the other two lessons.
I don't get why you guys don't have hour-long lessons! Wouldn't it make everythign easier? Like, 47 minutes, Payt?! Wierd people! ;)
