message 752: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments Really? That's so funny because I come from the high and mighty planet of Jupiter. I rule Jupiter. I am their queen.

message 753: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments Really? Haha. I am in Biology right now so not much of planets is happening.

message 754: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments ...finance? I would never be able to do that. I would be more of an...anatomy person.

message 755: by Laura (new)

Laura (missy_t) | 599 comments Jeez! I couldn't do financing.
I'm more of of teacher-y person. But then, I was researching it in form today, and you have to have like 60000000 qualifications of something.
I've decided I'm going to be a cat.

message 756: by Laura (new)

Laura (missy_t) | 599 comments On a totally different note, what in hell do you get guys for Christmas?! Argh! I'm doing a Secret Santa in my guy-friends group, and I'm the only girl. I can't even go default on them and buy chocolate and nail-varnish, like I do for my girl-friends.
HELP! He likes rugby if it helps, and acting. God knows what else.
Time for some under-cover totally-not-suspicious casual questions...hm.

Laura (missy_t) | 599 comments Torrin wrote: "I'm doing secret Santa as well except I got a girl. But I don't even know what I would get a guy what do they even want????"

lol I know. I asked one of his guy-friends, and he saaid 'gimme a sec' and then like 15 mins later he was like 'uh, still thinking', then came out with, "He likes skateboards." Because I can totally buy a skateboard for between £5-£10, right..?

message 759: by Laura (new)

Laura (missy_t) | 599 comments Torrin wrote: "Guyysssss my friends said no buying books for secret Santa what else is there that anyone could want?????"

Oh my god! What are you going to buy?!

message 760: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments Idk Torrin...I don't do that stuff. Maybe a...sweater?! Well, I'm feeling exhausted. Was up at 4:30 black friday shopping. We just got home.

message 761: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments Ugh, me too! But I love my mommaw and my aunt and cousin, so I just go to be with them. At least I get to go to the stores I like.

message 762: by Laura (new)

Laura (missy_t) | 599 comments Urrgh! I just went shopping at the Metrocentre, 1 hour 30 minute drive from my home, which is like this huge shopping complex, with like 8 separate 'malls', each the size of a normal centre.
And with yesterday being the last payday before Christmas, it was packed! We were queueing for like 20/30 minutes in each shop, just to pay.
We were there from like 11am until 5pm.
6 hours in people? Not good.
We don't even have Thanksgiving and 'Black Friday' but now some shops are starting to adopt that, so it was packed. Urgh!
And there's still like 60000 people I need gifts for. Looks like I'll be braving the crowds again at some point.

@Torrin, yeah, me too... it wasn't a good experience. And soup sounds better than the suggestion of a cardboard box with 'I don't know' on a slip of paper in it - and that was from one of his close friends, who supposedly knows him!

message 763: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments Yeah, we went to Bed Bath and Beyond or Bath and Body Works or something like that and it was so packed we couldn't get into the store past the front door. And then it stank...like every woman there spilled 5 bottles of different perfumes. It was terrible.

Urgh! Sounds it!

message 765: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments Yeah, it was bad. Hey, you've written a love story before. Do you have any pointers on how to make it not...cheesy?

message 766: by Laura (new)

Laura (missy_t) | 599 comments Alexis wrote: "Yeah, it was bad. Hey, you've written a love story before. Do you have any pointers on how to make it not...cheesy?"

I don't think I've written any without the chees-yness lol
Uh, make it sweet, but don't use the cheesy pickup lines. And for Christ's sake, don't use INSTALOVE! I hate that stuff. But then, that's just my preference. I don't know.
Try Payton.

message 767: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments Ugh, yeah, I'm not using instalove, I hate that myself. Thanks though. :) I'm doing it about a college girl who lost her boyfriend in a car accident a few years ago. I don't want to to be really cheesy.

message 768: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments k, did it

message 769: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments Soooo, I'm writing a new story (I won't be working on it for a bit, but...) and it is exploring some darker themes. Sooo, don't be surprised if you're like...god, what is wrong with her?

message 770: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments No problem!

message 771: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments Cool! Well, I was sort of worried...I'm not dark or anything, but I'm having fun with it. Well, as fun as a story like this can be. It sort of deals with growing up and standing up for yourself. But I won't really work on it until I get some of my other ones done.

message 772: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments Yeah. I like Wattpad better sometimes, because it lets me save it without publishing so I can just jot down ideas without making them available for everyone else to see.

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments Ugh, jealous Bee! I want to see that really want to see that movie! Is it is bad as the book or better? I loved all of the rest of The Hunger Game books, but the last one really did not do it for me.

So agree! Mockingjay seemed really rushed and to be honest, I fell asleep while reading it a couple of times.

message 776: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments It took me like, two days to read The Hunger Games and Catching Fire...it took me almost two weeks to read Mockingjay. It felt rushed and drug along...like the author didn't know how to play it. I dunno, I just think it could have been a lot better.

I'm so bored.
And I hate French.
I hate French speaking.
I hate memorising French.
Does anyone actually care what I eat and what I do to keep healthy? No.
And besides, it's a bucketful of lies. I'm healthy, bar all of the daily feels, but no way in hell am I ever going to go running - unless I'm being chased. And even then, it could be more preferable to be eaten than actually use energy.
I've discovered I'm uber good at procrastinating. In order to avoid learning it for tomorrow's assessment, I've doodled all over my arms, Google search about 6000 people in my class and found their celebrity twins, Facebook-stalked some people, watched some shnizz on TV and scrolled down my Facebook feed for a few hours.
I guess now I should learn it.
...Or I could just go shower or read.
Probably. It'd be more fun.
See yas.

Also, has anyone else ever wondered why tests in the Winter half-term are always called 'Christmas Summatives'? Like, 'merry Christmas, have a test! Aren't I so nice?!'. Mmnmnmmmmnh.

message 778: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments I love Japanese.
I love speaking Japanese.
I love writing Japanese.
I hate learning Japanese.
I hate running too. I'm pretty healthy compared to some kids of our generation, but I am working out and watching what I eat in hopes of reaching my goal weight by next December. I'm not fat, but a little chunky. I tried running, I hated it. Jillian Michaels (for those of you who don't know, she's like this super famous fitness trainer who was on TV) is what I am doing and after three days, my legs are dead.
I would love to just sit and read, but I can't. I don't know about the mid-term tests you're talking about. I have mid-term tests and that is it. Wrap it up in a bow if you want, you still have to take it. :)

message 779: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments Same here. Running just isn't my thing. I like to dance though. Dancing is fun.

message 780: by Laura (new)

Laura (missy_t) | 599 comments I like netball. Netball is fun. But running is awful.

message 781: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments Is netball like tennis? Or...badminton? I don't mean to be rude...I just really don't know.

message 782: by Laura (last edited Dec 09, 2014 10:23AM) (new)

Laura (missy_t) | 599 comments I guess it's a British thing.
Well, neither, really. It's more like basketball, only you can't run with the ball. I love it :)

message 787: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments Mmm...I really want a Smosh and Pewdiepie shirt, but I know I'm not going to get them, so I don't really care. Really, I care more about my little siblings getting what they want. My BDay is tomorrow! 15 soon!

message 788: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments Thanks! But not tomorrow, I meant on Friday. I guess for some of you, it is Friday. My B-Day is on the 12th. Thanks a lot though!

message 795: by Laura (new)

Laura (missy_t) | 599 comments Ikr I'm so busy, it's insane.
I've had rehearsals every lunchtime last week, and Monday to Thursday after school, then all-day rehearsals today off timetable. Same tomorrow - but until 5pm. Then the dress-rehearsal on Wednesday after-school. Then after that, first week back at school, Wednesday the 7th, we have our first performance.
Seriously, we've only been rehearsing since Mid-End September! I still don't know the plot...

message 796: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments Ugh...I have no time for anything. I have so much schoolwork to do and my semester is ending, and that means...MIDTERMS!!! I am SUPER excited. Note the sarcasm. Yup. Add Christmas shopping. I have no time for anything. I haven't written anything in an embarrassingly long time.

message 797: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments ...I hate them. Like, shouldn't all the tests you take before the end of the semester be good enough? I got good grades on all of my tests, so...why do I have to take ANOTHER test to prove what I've already proven with the grades on my tests?

message 798: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexis1299hallyufangirl) | 415 comments Ya! I'm like pulling my hair out!

message 799: by Laura (new)

Laura (missy_t) | 599 comments I love how there's you guys with your midterms and semesters and finals and stuff. And there's little me with terms, half-terms, APPs, and exams.
It's so strange how different our schooling is...
