ABANDONED. Book about a girl who liked to cook

When I was in sixth grade (2013-2014), I read this book and I forgot the name of it. It was for 4th-6th graders, "slice of life", and fiction. The book was about this girl (I think she was a freshman in high school) and her dad had her own cooking show. Since her dad didn't live with her, the girl had to make her own meals and was good at it. At one point, she takes cooking lessons (which makes no sense) and meets this guy (I don't remember what happened after that). Then, she starts talking to her neighbor and the neighbor was this old lady with a cat. One day, the cat dies and the girl and the neighbor talk about it. That's all I remember, I'm sorry if I wasn't specific enough!
