HI T.L.! I just finished the book 45 seconds ago - I am not kidding - and it was great!

Okay so the first thing I want to get to is how you start the novel! (Better start with the start right?)

I was NOT expecting that beginning and I quite liked it! Was it the original beginning you had written, or did you go through a few versions of it?

Ouuuu you may want to strangle me, but the really exciting part at the end where Milkhail gets hurt

Um, well, that...I'm kinda straight to the point as a person. I wanted to have full impact with that book. I guess I achieved it, huh?

It always started that way.

Great! I like it when the book starts with a statement and right to the point!

[T.L.]

I don't want to strangle you. I love that bit too. "Down down down," just gets the adrenaline flowing like crazy.
Just icksnay on what happens next ;-)

I think the start was also a reaction to Fifty Shades btw. I read about half that book before it got to a sex scene. It's about BDSM for crying out loud!! So, I rebelled. Tee hee.

Actually, those books kicked me into reading.
"People are buying this drivel? Even I could write better," I said, arrogantly. So, never one to shy away from a challenge, I tried. :-)

I found the book to be both contemporary / modern and classic, in the sense that its is a classic love story with some modern day elements and speech. Your narration style is a little more classic, and I like the eclectic mix that gives the book.

Was this your intention?

Haha that's amazing! And I know right? So many better BDSM books than Fifty Shades put there - prepare for repercussions to our words lol.

I noticed you referenced The Bodyguard often in the book. Was that movie a source of inspiration as you were writing True's Love?

When I was in my youth Kevin Costner was my pin-up.
I love the Bodyguard. Yeah, I sort of used it as almost anti-inspiration really.

I've worked in the security industry so know it's not really like the film. I tried to make my book a bit more 'real'. But actually it swept me along with the excitement in the end.

OU! You work in the security industry? THAT'S SO COOL!!!

Yeah, I know many people loved Fifty. I don't judge them for it. We all like different things.
I just personally found it dreadful.

My prior counselling experience was just telling me Anna couldn't possibly be that naive and cope with the mess of Christian.

But I'm sounding like I'm bashing again. Sorry.

I've been meaning to ask since I've read this part, Michael has angel wings tattooed on his back! *cue drooling* Why did ya slip that in there? Was it just because you like those - because yum - or because you wanted to represent something?

Haha, the point is the security industry isn't really cool. It's actually rather dull most of the time. But that would be a really boring book!

And you don't really want to be British.
You'd have to live on a tiny island, moan about the weather, and form a penchant for queueing

Ah, that would be his protective nature. I was hinting he was like a guardian angel. I didn't make a big thing of it, it's just a little clue.

Haha! It seems like the perfect weather to me! So snowstorms like here were you can get like two feet of snow overnight! Haha

Yay; you get a special prize for being so observant! :-)

Um, I'm in the south of the UK. We don't ge much snow, so when we do we all have to panic and take a day annual leave as we can't get into work!
We get a small flurry, it melts then freezes with a light layer of snow on top.
Our drivers have no idea what to do, so skid around, stopping anyone else using the roads.

Yeah, it's great!? :-/

YAYYAYAYYA I LOVE PRIZES!!!

And hahaha, we got a massive snowstorm in the end of march this year. And I mean MASSIVE. Universities were closed and they NEVER close lol

OK, I'm going to let you into a couple of secrets here...

1) If you look up the meaning of my main character's names you'll always get a clue as to their role in the book

2) TLC or tender loving care is ALWAYS mentioned in each book, as a little nod to my pseudonym.

And I'm just thinking that since they are really close and that Amanda found someone, she might start reflecting on finding someone ish. Eh, that's just my grain of salt ;)

Can't believe we're the only two at this party. But it's quite nice. It feels like we're just two friends chatting over wine.
