Harry Potter and The Hobbit!

message 103: by Aniketa (new)

Aniketa | 9 comments I always reread. My routine with a new book is :
Read it as fast as possible because I've got no patience and I want to know how it ends => slow read. This time I actually see the punctuation => meaningful read, reserved for the books I liked (more than 2 stars). I try to find the little things that make a book special.

The books that I see as a comfort read, with a nice cup of tea and a rainy day in the mix , are:
Kushiel's Dart (Phèdre's Trilogy, #1) by Jacqueline Carey Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling #1) by Nalini Singh Incas The Puma's Shadow (Incas, #1) by Antoine B. Daniel
I usually choose one book from these series.

message 104: by Patrick (new)

Taylor Bellamy (taylorbellamy) | 23 comments Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. It's my go to book when I'm in a slump or suffering from book hangover (*cough cough* Kingdom of Ash) I also love rereading ACOMAF and of course Harry Potter!

message 113: by Jessica (new)

Jessica the **Sexy Book Diva** (sexybookdiva) | 12 comments Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe by Fannie Flagg. I own like three copies of it and I read it at least once a year. As for a series I would say the Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde and the pretty much all of the Nora Roberts series' are a must. Also I would have to include the V.C. Andrews series' that she actually wrote (not the ones they ghost wrote in her name after she died.)

˙⋆✮ Anny ✮⋆˙ (annithebookprincess) The Legend trilogy by Marie Lu. I'm rereading it at the moment :D

Pride and Prejudice is the novel I reread the most often, which fits for this group. (the other isn't anything I see here :))

message 120: by Ahy (new)

Ahy | 8 comments ... I re-read the books that grabbed me or had something that I want to feel again....
Like Percy Jackson, City of Bones, School for Good and Evil and so many other.
It depends on my mood. If I want to feel something I have the right books to re-read!

message 125: by Devann (new)

Devann (devannm) | 111 comments I have to reread the Lucifer graphic novels by Mike Carey (Lucifer, Vol. 1: Devil in the Gateway) and the Cal Leandros series by Rob Thurman (Nightlife) at least every few years. Honestly I would probably reread them both multiple times a year but I tell myself that that is too much and make myself wait lol

message 130: by vidya (new)

vidya balachander (vidyaa) | 9 comments Definitely Percy Jackson (not the Heroes of Olympus though; one time is enough for that series) as it was the first series I ever truly loved :) I've re-read it 4 times <3

message 132: by Caroline (new)

Caroline (caro7) None. With such a long TBR, I can't justify re-reading anything. The only two books I've read more than once are Jane Eyre (twice) and The Diaries of Adam and Eve (twice).

gabbyisreadingnow (gabbyisreadingnow) | 50 comments Percy Jackson, I try to reread it every year in August, since that's his birthday month.

message 134: by Melliott (new)

Melliott (goodreadscommelliott) | 510 comments Old favorites:
Stranger at Wildings, by Madeleine Brent
The Secret Garden, by Frances Hodgson Burnett

Favorite series:
The Queen's Thief series, by Megan Whalen Turner (about once every two years, or when she releases a new book)
Obernewtyn, by Isobelle Carmody (great dystopian)

Favorite authors:
various books of Ursula LeGuin, Daphne du Maurier, Rumer Godden, Rosamunde Pilcher, Connie Willis, Sheri S. Tepper, Terry Pratchett, Dick Francis, Lee Childs.

These all added to my previous post. I usually reread either when I'm in a slump and haven't found a book I liked for a while, I'm in a mood for something specific and want something guaranteed to please it, or I'm depressed and want "comfort food."

Tyler Gray (wickedjr89) Frankenstein (1818 version)
And it seems Krampus: The Yule Lord, I plan to read it for the third time this month (not 3 times in the same month just that I read it last year and a couple years before that)
I hope to add to the list
The duology The Abyss Surrounds Us and The Edge of the Abyss
and I need to re-read the Harry Potter series, i've only read it all the way through once, in 2015

Valentina Giambanco's Alice Madison series is also on my re-read plans because the crime plot good, intriguing characters + one of my favourite couples!
